So, tomorrow morning the moon is going to occult Venus but not in the USA. Down in South America and the Pacific ocean. But, Venus will be very close to the moon here in this country so take a look. The photo is from 2009.

As afr as mars is concerned, the dust storm is still covering the entire planet. There is no detail of any kind visible. Such a shame as Mars right now is almost as large as it ever gets in a scope. We have about another month of decent size for Mars...
