Today, I was lucky enough to observe a raven chasing a bald eagle.

I also caught a glimpse of a barred owl before it flew off.

And so it begins..... Anyone recognize that gaping yellow mouth? This is a very common invasive species in the US and many other countries.

I've been watching birds since my mom and nan introduced me to bird watching as a kid. I developed an affinity for that most elusive of birds early on, the Owl. Any other Owl People out there?

This Bald Eagle is always perched in this tree on the banks of Henry's Fork of the Snake River, about 5 miles from my house. No matter how many times I see him, it always gives me a thrill!

A guy from the local birding club reported a common loon on a small pond a couple of miles from my house. I was going to sleep in this morning, but I had to sneak a peek at this loon!

Male and Female Ruby-throated Hummingbirds ... 200+ shots and an hour and a half of standing very still to get only one of each that I like ... worth every minute!

I see road runners around my place every so often. They snack on snakes.

Paulie would like to say hello to the group!!!

A young robin that a vet in Harrisburg sent to me. She did a great job raising it so far, but doesn't think she can supply enough live food to prepare this guy for life in the wild. It's in great health though a little too tame.

I am currently amoured with Jackdaws I have a group of about 20 I feed in the garden I have not yet got to the bottom of their relationships but then why would I . Please read Konrad Lorenz a great ethnologist "king Solomans seal".
