The accused was not allowed interrogatories, the women did not make any affidavits out against him, they did not appear in court under oath to give evidence or be cross examined, the court refused to examine the copies of the relevant pages of the AHRC document, the lawyer acting for the women and believed for by Channel7 gave hearsay evidence that was accepted as fact by the judge, the judge would not allow a jury trial, the judge had been accused of corruption by the accused in another report published by him,.
The whole has a very bad odour and leaves you asking "if this happens to journalists tasked with keeping the courts honest, what hope is there for the ordinary citizen and what is Prime Minister Morrison, the good xtian doing to ensure that Australia loses its convict taint?"
I also ask: "if Channel7 is bankrupt as suggested, why has the Corporate Affairs Commission not stepped up and taken control?"
