@Davesnothere The faulty education our kids receive is nothing new / accidental; it has been orchestrated during decades. Lack of information / misinformation are two means very well implemented in our society. Why? Because the stupider a person is the easier to manipulate him / her....and said techniques have washed in many of those that today are in front of the classrooms. Not long ago, I overheard two teachers saying: "I don't understand why the Jews cry so much; the Holocaust is not truth." I hope during my 26+ years as a teacher I made some difference. I am sure I did. LOL, in more than one occasion the debates held by my AP students brought in the Principal thinking a fight was taking place in my classroom.

I would add: In cases of rape abortion should be an option. If it’s proven who the father is, he pays. I also think, this would lead to a fiasco in the courts - the old, he said, she said. I doubt rapes would drop because rape is all about power.

DUCHESSA replies on Jan 24, 2018:
Several years ago, thIs Argentinian writer provided us with an answer to your "What do you think the consequences of this disconnect will be?" Apocalypse by Marco Denevi It was during the last years of the 32nd Century when the human race fell into extinction. The manner in which this occurred is described therein: the machines had reached such a high caliber of perfection that mankind was not in need of eating, sleeping, talking, reading, thinking, or of doing anything. It was sufficient enough for them to press a button and the machines would do everything for them. Gradually, everything began to disappear: the Bibles, the works of Leonardo da Vinci, tables, chairs, roses, the recordings of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, the antique stores, the wine of Bordeaux, the swallows and orioles, the tapestries of Flanders, all of the compositions of Verdi, the Azaleas, chess, telescopes, the Palace of Versailles, the Gothic cathedrals, football stadiums, the Pieta of Michelangelo, the maps containing the ruins of Trajan’s Imperial Forum, automobiles, rice, the Redwoods, even the Parthenon. Only the machines remained. Afterwards, mankind began to take notice that they were also progressively disappearing while the machines were increasing in numbers. It only took a matter of time for the machines to duplicate themselves. The machines eventually occupied every possible place. One could not pass or move without tripping over them. In the end, mankind was eliminated. Since the last one forgot to disconnect the machines we then continued to go on functioning.
