Men, what is up with the fascination of a younger woman ?
DUCHESSA comments on Jan 10, 2018:
Once I heard a conversation between two 75 y/o men: One said "I married a 25 y/o lovely lady." How do you see me? The other answered: "I see you like a cow's head....far away from the vagina and near the horns."

@GipsyOfNewSpain As I said, and as a Prof. of Spanish I know a little on the subject, being Spanish speaking is an accident...as is being English / Russian / Asian....it all depends where the mother dropped the kid after leaving her own country. For you may no be different...but it is for me. Hispanoc, if you go to the origin of the words, comes from HISPANIA....SPAIN's ORIGINAL NAME (in Latin) during the Roman Empire.....SO, UNLESS YOU WERE BORN IN SPAIN YOU ARE NOT HISPANIC. I don't know if this conversation is for another forum....Culture is culture regardless of the venue. I am glad you enjoyed the joke.

@GipsyOfNewSpain See, speaking Spanish doesn't make a person Latino/a; my Argentinean friend -Carlos McAllister- speaks Spanish but is not Latino....and millions like him born in Argentina. I happen to be Latina but of European origin (French) so, I doubt very much you could understand me at all.

How many of you in the US have passports?
godef comments on Jan 9, 2018:
We used to be able to go into Canada without a passport; don't think that's the case anymore. But with so many relatively small countries in close proximity over there, I can see it would be impractical not to have one. Do EU citizens need passports to go to other EU countries? Russians need a ...
DUCHESSA replies on Jan 9, 2018:
Believe it or not...but three years ago I was asked for my passport when returning from Nebraska. I said to the guy "Did they move Nebraska out of the states? He laughed and told me that they have the right to ask for the passport. I had it with me. If you come to USA by land (Canada, Mexico) they will ask you for the passport. No when returning by plane.

Gatovicolo comments on Jan 9, 2018:
I happen to think that a border wall is ridiculous. It not only will cost a ridiculous amount, but it won’t work. Build military bases along the border and have them train along the border. If you want to come to the us, then apply. I have nothing against immigration, but I do have something...
DUCHESSA replies on Jan 9, 2018:
As you know...the building of said wall doesn't necessarily mean to erect one made of bricks. What you suggest is great and they have similar approaches in mind. BTW,there is a lady in Texas who owns lands in both countries....the part of the wall already built that crosses her land divides her property in Mexican and American. She has a password (given by the federal government) to open the door that allows her to go from one to the other.
