As US citizens, what's your take on this? [bbc.com]
FearlessFly comments on Apr 14, 2020:
If it (the primary) survives legal challenges (already begun), this is a great result for Democrats. Crucial voter eligibility cases should now not go in the conservative direction -- and crucial ongoing in a swing state.
FearlessFly replies on Apr 14, 2020:
@Petter My understanding is that the WI Supreme Court ruled (kinda last-minute) that state law required the election to go-forward. I have heard (I think) that SCOTUS is 'reviewing' the case -- really not sure about that -- but if so the result(s) could change. Because the WI Exec/Legislature are bitterly divided, the makeup of their SC is important.

Found out 76% of the world’s serial killers come from the USA. Why is that?
FearlessFly comments on Apr 9, 2020:
. . . not necessarily doubting that, but IMO, reliable source(s) should be provided.
FearlessFly replies on Apr 10, 2020:
@Geoffrey51 That reddit page links to : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_killer . . . which has this "76% of all known serial killers in the 20th century were from the United States.[33] " . . . the '33' links to this book : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/299089.The_Encyclopedia_of_Serial_Killers . . . which is probably a reasonable source. A startpage.com search "how many of the world’s serial killers come from the USA" gives several sources (haven't looked at them).

Your "it may try again in 2032 or so" comment seems to indicate that you think that the Higgs has not yet been found. If so, show some evidence of that claim.

@Novelty I see no reason to regularly assign credibility to anyone who defends their claim(s) without bothering to back-them up with references. NOT doing so invites skepticism (especially if is as easy as you seem to indicate). At least with qualifications in profile, there is some 'expertise' asserted.

@AnneWimsey On a website full of folks who tend to be skeptical of most anything, qualifications IMHO are highly relevant. Stated matter-of-factly, I don't see that as "bragging". Higher Ed. degrees are, IMO, accomplishments to be proud of. In the context of the global population, they are rare. In the alternative, I think it useful (whether qualified or not) to post reliable references to confirm ones' facts/premises.

@Triphid Of course, science can and does disprove some things (falsification), but AFAIK, there is NO CERTAINTY is science (apart, perhaps, math). There is always doubt/error bars. It would be one thing if you explicitly say "In My Humble Opinion" (IMHO), but . . . It is hard not to notice that your assertions do not give references to credible sources to support them. Nor do I see any claim(s) of your technical qualification(s) despite your insistent claims. All the more reason to question your "bloviations".

@Triphid WOW. Considering that Einstein/Feynman/whomever hasn't come-up with a legit experiment to falsify (what you refer to) Universal Laws, I propose that YOU give-it-a try (perhaps your understanding is not so "limited", you seem adamant/arrogant enough). Then write a scientific paper about your results and submit them to your favorite professional peer-reviewed journal. You might just be awarded a NOBEL. . . . good luck with that :P
