My latest batch of A. dubernardi are growing quickly! Two have pupated already, many more are close. This photo represents about half of my stock on scotch pine (P. silvestris)--by far, my most successful brood.

One more... This is one of my all time luckiest shots: mantis preying on cicada. I didn't see the catch itself; but was out shooting bugs when I noticed this going on... Vicious!

Mama red squirrel getting a little extra calcium from an old fragment of deer bone. I knew they would eat bones and antlers but this is the first time I have witnessed it.

A beautiful skunk I encountered (from a distance, thankfully) while bird watching. It noticed me right away, but I guess I wasn't too threatening as it ignored me and continued to root around for things to eat.

My Nhandu tripepii (Brazilian Giant ) Champagne is finally out and about. It’s been a strange winter and she had been hiding most of it, unusual for her. They can grow 7-9 inches. She’s getting there.
