Where have all the frogs gone? Gone to grenouille, every one. I tried to bring a few to my fish pond. Twenty years ago I could find them stuck in old pools. That was in New Jersey. I'm back in Minnesota now, what's the prognosis?

These are the gorgeous caterpillars of a rather plain brown moth called the Turbulent Phosphila. They live naturally in Pennsylvania and they feed on a thorny vine called Greenbrier.
