Quicker and shorter than the American elections. Here is the comparison between the American and British.
The Canadian political institutions are very similar to those in the UK.
This says Justin Trudeau is unlikely to get re-elected. [nytimes.com]
In the surveys so far, Trudeau and his closest rival, conservative Andrew Scheer are pretty much neck and neck. But there are other parties as well that might win some seats and split up the vote (NDP, Green, Bloc Québécois). We might end up with a minority government.

Right, but how much possible is it that Trudeau's underdog status will improve to running ahead (in coalition with other) in just 5 weeks?
How is it possible to have a national election in 6 weeks? Everyone knows it takes two years. Crazy talk!!
Wouldn't it be nice
So jealous, we need to hire Canadians to show us how!
Yeah, but they were in "pre-campaign" for months.
