Here is the video of use harvesting the bananas and chop and drop the rest of the plant. You get a good look at the banana stalk and how banana grow.

It snowed this morning, which reminded me I still had lettuce in the greenhouse (I’ve been busy getting ready to move and forgot about it). Small harvest, but still! I harvested lettuce! In November! In Alaska!

Thanks Botany Buddies! I setup a little green house in an old disposable cake pan with a clear lid, soaked down my super-dried out moss and let it sit on my desk, away from the window over the weekend... SUCCESS! We have green again!!

Please people, avoid any products which contain glysophate as it is proving to be a bane on this world, entering the food chain at all levels. It's even finding it's way into honey, that most pure of foods.

Finally finished the greenhouse it took Amy and I most of the weekend. All four side roll up and down. It should keep the tropical fruit trees nice and warm. And be a nice place to over winter our potted plants.
