Kid said he felt like being outdoors today. So I gave him the chainsaw. Just about killed ourselves... but the dead cherry tree is almost down. Maybe build a second pond there? Pondering.

Banana trees picking up a little. The little one had it's own root, but the big one was off a larger root base. I transplanted the about 5 or 6 weeks ago. Was worried they might not take, but they are establishing well.

Bush beans on left, which have given us delicious food half a dozen times already. Tomatoes in the middle, and they're about the size of a garlic clove now. Pole beans on right coming up nice.

Natural weeding tip! Notice when a species blooms, and then focus on removing that one type for a week or two when it's easier to spot. I had a terrible attack of thistle and was able to end it in two seasons.
