I picked the first cucumber of the season a few minutes ago. The bees were in the cukes and the zinnias. I had a butterfly in the zinnias, too but no camera.

The first harvest of garlic from this morning, about 175 bulbs were ready to be pulled, washed and set out to dry in the sun. There will be at least two more harvests as the rest of the crop ripens.

Container gardening update! Ripening red cherry tomatoes, newly planted purple cherry tomatoes, newly planted cucumbers, and growing watermelons! We started getting red tomatoes ripe enough to eat about a week ago.
