The summer season ends for me (as the photo shows) at the last 'plant fair', at a wonderful old priory here in the UK. Do other countries have these events?

The mild autumn leaves still a lot of colour in the garden, and now the winter flowers are starting too. With Chrysanthemum, Iris foetidissima in berry, some climbing roses still going and winter jasmine just starting.

I'm thinking of spring and these came up while browsing my photos. Which one do you like best, the Tulips or the Hyacinth? The Tulips have a Pieris in bloom as a backdrop. The Hyacinth is planted under a Weeping Nootka False cypress and doesn't get ...

I have geraniums in my window box and they seem to be having a second blooming. We've had a really hot summer here in the UK but it's cooling down a lot now the autumn's here. They seem to be thriving through neglect. Do I water them or not?

Pulled squash to take to a friend. Spent an hour weeding this morning before it gets ridiculously hot. I’ll have squash for lunch too ...there’s a lot more ready to go 😊😊

So, here I am, trying out the new rule! 'Maters boiling down with garden grown basil. And, as @Misskathleen reminded me, the garlic was let "rest" 20 minutes after mincing, prior to adding to the pot. It will take a few hours to render to paste.

Cactus will not survive the Midwest winter, so my cactus garden spends six months in the house and then six months outside. Here are a couple of pictures. I will send another when I get the cacti placed in the outdoor area.
