Things were not as great as people think they were, they never were and never will be.
There's science behind "the good old days".
It's rooted in population density.
I read this in my Senior year in H.S.; - it blew me away and pushed me towards Ecology and Demography.
Population Density and Social Pathology
JOHN B.CALHOUN, PH.D., National Institute of Mental Health
Basically it concluded that the more crowded it gets, the more
-psychotic
-greedy/hoarding
-child-abusive/neglectful
-asexual (less interested in mating/sex)
and many other "ills" of society.
What if things have turned out the way they are now because of how they were before?
Okay, now have a little sleep, sober up and try again and maybe you will be able to make yourself understood.
There's a good little diddums.
