Except bikers fall...and hurt themselves. I'm dealing with a broken shoulder...from a sloppy fall...but I'm recovering....I'm generally healthy...and I drive a Tesla...so....it's all good!

Three years ago, I got hit by a car while riding my bike. The driver didn't make his stop, didn't see me crossing the street. I got knocked out. The cops and the paramedics who picked me up told me I had a good idea to wear an helmet. It was cracked.
I went in and out of the hospital that same day. Nothing broken. Only sprains on the back of my neck, on my upper back and on a shoulder. I missed two months of work.

I was delighted when I first moved here (in 2015) to see a "bike path" (a widened walkway, actually) which is used by me and many bikers...but unfortunately I tried killing two birds with one stone....get my biking exercise AND help the adopt-a-highway people;
That let to me biking "on the road" and frequently dismounting to get to litter...
...which led to the fall.
I think I've learned a lesson here.
I'll be staying on the bike paths from now on...not mounting-dismounting to pick up litter any more. I'll save that for if/when I enlist my car in to that program. POST EDIT. Sad...but Agnostic.com still rotates images...what's up with this, @admin?
