@ProudMerrie being 220 is a lot of charge and more dangerous. You need to shut off power. Then changing the plug - if you must do so on the line is need be careful. If the machine can be changed,then that is fairly safe until plugging it in. I'm not an electrician. I have, in the past done work on my old house when married. I never heard of a four plug.
