I have yet to encounter one of these right wing anti Obama memes that doesn't skew the facts and distort reality to fit their narrative. Garbage in, garbage out......

Dhiltong comments on Jun 27, 2018:
It's a nice thought and ideally the way things should be, but it would only work if everybody involved always did the right thing. Since we're talking humans here, that's not going to happen!!
You may; Hate. Despise. Ridicule. Mock. But he's doing what he said he'd do if elected:
Dhiltong comments on Jun 27, 2018:
Nobody saw the help coming (Russia, Comey) Nobody figured how spineless the supposed Fiscal Responsible Republican Congress turned out to be. People under estimated the strength and momentum the economy had going into 2017. People knew he was an asshole, they under estimated just how much of an in your face asshole he really is. China and So. Korea are the ones who laid the ground work for the summit, remember he met with the leaders of both before he met Trump. The pattern I see is Trump supporters in very Trumpion fashion overselling his accomplishments.
It's more than you probably think
Dhiltong comments on Jun 27, 2018:

Does anyone travel for concerts?
Dhiltong comments on Jun 27, 2018:

Dhiltong comments on Jun 26, 2018:
I personally think Trump is undoing Obama's legacy not out of spite or hatred but due to his narcissistic desire to be one of if not the most famous president in history. He's making sure he has his stamp on everything.....
Was Bill Maher correct?
Dhiltong comments on Jun 26, 2018:
Absolutely, as long as there's a perception that the economy is doing well, Trumps support will remain strong enough to keep the possibility of re-election alive.......But, I think Dems and liberals should keep their wish for a recession to themselves!!

When you look at the data the overall crime and murder rate for illegal immigrants is less than it is for natural born citizens and way lower for legal immigrants. But since when did Trump let those pesky old facts get in the way of his arguments.........
Good morning liberals! [goo.gl]
Dhiltong comments on Jun 25, 2018:
I get a kick out of these military themed memes degrading liberals. Lets see, in my family my father in law retired from the Army a full Bird Colonel and my uncle was a highly decorated Marine who fought at Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima in WWII and Chosin Reservoir in Korea who retired with the rank Chief Warrant Officer. Both of whom were life long poor little liberal democrat snowflakes. Ummm...

Dhiltong comments on Jun 18, 2018:
I think we tend to give way to much credit or criticism to the president for current economic conditions. Granted economic policy definitely shapes the economy but it's such a large system that it can takes years for the full effects of policy to be known. Here in Utah the economy is booming and unemployment is basically nil. This mainly due to construction and new company's moving here. Most of the construction is large projects which were conceived, planned and started well before Trump was elected. And the same thing with the new business moving here, this was all well in the works before Trump.
Anyone else just tired of FOX vomit? I just want a reasonably sane world, with no ultrarich people.
Dhiltong comments on Jun 18, 2018:

This could be solved if people would just get off their lazy asses and vote. I just don't see the majority of the country supporting this current administration. It just that people that support Trump will vote.

Dhiltong comments on Jun 15, 2018:

Do you agree with this statement?
Dhiltong comments on Jun 9, 2018:
I have to say yes, in that they really exacerbated the problem. With the highly addictive nature of opiates a lot more people got hooked because pain killers are basically legal and don’t carry the stigma attached to black market opiates like heroin. I think a lot of people had no issues doing prescription opiates but would have not ever considered drugs like heroin.

There's even more evidence to suggest popular vitamin supplements are essentially useless
Dhiltong comments on Jun 5, 2018:
This is nothing new, they've been saying for years that one should be able to get all the needed nutrients through a healthy balanced diet. I try to eat as healthy as possible but I lead a very active life and travel a lot so it's not always possible to eat exactly as I should. I take a wide range of supplements as more of an insurance policy that I'm am getting all the nutrients my body needs. The one thing that has been determined is in most cases more is not better. I just take a little of everything.

Do you think Science will ever discover how consciousness began?
Dhiltong comments on May 31, 2018:
I think what we call consciousness evolved a long with language. The ability to observe the world around us, break it down in abstract components and communicate it to others. Most of us have had pets, mainly dogs and cats that we've been very close to. It's pretty easy to conclude they have basically the same emotional makeup as we do. But we don't regard them a conscience beings. Without the ability for abstract thought they live in a emotional/fantasy world.

I'm a seasons pass holder at the Snowbird Ski resort here in Utah, I ride offroad motorcycles, play tennis 3 times a week, can walk 18 holes of golf like it's nothing so I'm going to continue taking it. But it's still hard to say exactly what the overall effect has been since I don't have another me to compare with. When people ask me how it's working I just say, ask me when I'm 100.

I doesn't take much more than a little common sense to conclude that humans are now the main driver of the evolution of this planets biosphere. It also seems that conservatives are the majority of deniers. They are afraid they may have to pay some sort of tax or their jacked up F350 is going to be outlawed.

I would like to compliment Donald Trump on his handling of the North Korea situation.
Dhiltong comments on May 9, 2018:
I don't agree with your glowing assessment at all. I will give Trump credit for being in office and if the negotiations are successful. But I give most of the credit here to KJU, it was just basically time for this to happen. Their nuclear program was carrying on KJU's father's legacy, a source of national pride and a sense of security from what they perceived as a very hostile U.S.. For a country the size and scope of NK they had pushed their nuclear program as far as they could. I think KJU knew this and being far enough removed from the Korean War and young, decided it was time to go a different direction. What seemed to really get the ball rolling on this was the Olympics. The combined sports teams between the No. & So. really showed the way that cooperation was possible.
I've been considering the implications of current trends in technology.
Dhiltong comments on May 9, 2018:
Technology is definitely replacing the jobs that machines can do more efficiently and precisely but there will still be plenty of stuff that require the human touch. I think one of the biggest challenges facing us especially in the U.S. is solving the widening income equality gap. How to use the collective wealth of the country to better serve all of it's citizens. But in a way that doesn't create the short comings of a system like we saw with communism.

Dhiltong comments on May 8, 2018:
Think about, if viewed from a certain perspective I can see the world being a single living entity. Look at the human body which a collage of inorganic compounds and living cells and bacterium all working in harmony. Which to divert a bit, brings to mind the biosphere of this planet which exists in the form we have today due to the living organisms on the planet. And how so many so called intelligent people deny that humans can have major effect on that delicate balance.

I'd be a little leery of trying to put to much into the medications. Those meds can sometimes mitigate the symptoms but they won't cure it. To get passed your current state of mind you basically need to re-wire your neural circuits. In other words you need to talk yourself out of it through a lot of positive self talk, 'fake it till you make it'. Cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness ars the way to do this. It takes a lot of effort and time and I know it works from my own experience.
