I would think that, by our nature, ie the open mindness that led us to become atheist, would also leave us less racists.

Memory recall. This has really fascinated me. Apparently, you don't just recall a memory; you recall it into paint shop pro, then redesign it. If you recall a bad memory but you're in a good mood, that memory will be repainted in a more positive version than before. Or vice versa. This is what brainwashing is based on. This also has to do with PTSD; you don't just remember images of what happened, you also store the emotion that went with it. And if that emotion is strong enough, then you "remember" it when it is triggered by a similar stimuli. Research is developing the means of eliminating these emotional memories.

When a rotten politician is in your pocket, possibilities are endless. Am I Wrong?

It's complicated. It is a bit of hypocrisy to not believe in God yet be so gullible about the existence of UFOs. First of all, let's distinguish between UFOs and extra-terrestrial life. UFOs are, by definition, real: Unidentified Flying Objects. They do in fact exist; the question is whether they are weather balloons or are ET in nature. The physical limits imposed by the speed of light make the ET explanation unlikely. Perhaps there are ways to overcome these limitations, but that's a moot issue until we understand what they are. To summarize, I believe we are not alone in the universe, but am also skeptical that we have ever been visited by them in the form of UFOs.

Can I suggest a novel titled "Evolution" by Stephen Baxter; he has co-authored with Arthur C Clarke in other projects. It's an amazing novel as it depicts the current state of the human race (us) as being a mere moment in it's full evolution, both past *and future*. In the future, we regress technologically, but it really was only a blip in the full history of the human race. A fascinating read.

Not sure that even makes sense. 2D images exist in a 3D world. We exist in a 4D universe (spacetime). I don't think anything can exist in just one of the dimensions; however many dimensions exist, we live in all of them. The only question is how many dimensions are we able to conceive/perceive, or else in how many dimensions do who choose to make an observation of something.

The problem is that different states have different sales tax levels. Some states, like NH, don't have a sales tax at all. So it would be problematic for a company to track this for 50 different states (and other countries) they may sell their product to.

It does scare me. Not believing in heaver or hell or any of that, I've thought through what it might be like for absence of anything after it, and it's frightening. Think about when you sleep, the dreaming part aside, or better yet if you go under for surgery. Someone sitting awake with you will experience several hours of time pass, while for you it's instantaneous, yet you were together just before and still together now, experiencing the same moments. Like nature abhors a vacuum, consciousness abhors nothingness, and like the perception of time from falling asleep to waking up gets stretched together to meet another, when you die and there is nothing afterwards, your perception of time will be infinitely stretched forward. So I hope to be in a very painless and non-horrific situation when my time comes, or I could find myself in my very personal hell forever.

I've said this here before... had Tom Brady kneeled at the anthem and announced he was praying for his mom when she had cancer, the whole stadium probably would have joined him. And what about those who locked arms, people didn't seem to mind that? How is this different from kneeling? They both use the anthem to send some sort of message. The notion of disrespecting the military is a red herring. The real reason people are upset at kneeling for the anthem is because this is what Colin Kaepernick did when he announced he was protesting police brutality of blacks; people just don't want to hear it.
