Mythology and religion belong to the infancy of reason. There is nothing to be gained in terms of learning when ignorance is elevated to a mystical status, only the perpetuation of ignorance.
I actually got heavily into Greek Mythology at one point and was very entertained by the way the entire "clan" on Mt Olympus starkly mirrored Mankind in their loves, hates, piques, jealousies, intrigues, egotism & etc....no "sugar-coated gawds" there, it was quite refreshing!
There exactly the same thing...
