I suspect you might be initially (physically?) attracted to women who don't "get you" so your prophecy becomes self-fulfilling. ?????

One thing you can definitely count on is that as you "age", you will only become more interesting to women. And here's the "bonus". Pretty silly - but I can see how they might think if they push the "good Christian" thing they stand a better chance of finding a "nice" man. We have been "adopted" by a sweet cat that was left behind when a family moved out and simply left her behind. Another one that was abandoned is a beautiful Siamese....he/she hangs out with us too. I just don't understand how people can do that....

Lavergne replies on Jun 30, 2018:
You are absolutely right about the poverty and drugs. But it doesn't stop there - there seems to be an intellectual "curiosity" that has gone MIA. Kids used to ask questions - sometimes to the point of distraction. Now they're taking selfies.....and talking in chat rooms and having their own podcasts. Don't get me wrong - I'm not against any of the technology but I just wonder if instead of our children's horizons being expanded we're actually watching them shrinking - in real time. And don't try to have a conversation with any of the trumpettes about where this country ranks in education, poverty, healthcare, etc.....All you will get is a blank stare - and then the tirade will begin about how THEY are doing just fine so they don't know what you're even talking about....but they're quite sure it has to do with other people being lazy and not wanting to work for a living (cue the "loop") and besides those numbers are all "fake" anyway. And the drugs - well they cross all the socioeconomic barriers.
A question that I hope will not turn ugly as I truly don’t mean it to be.

And if that's all you can cling to - then the future is not going to be very bright for you. We should be retraining our work force to be able to hold down the jobs that will actually exist for the next generations...the ones in technology and the medical/health care fields. And to your point about the work that America has sent to Mexico - why do you think the number of people coming from Mexico into the US has slowed way down over the past several years? Because they have jobs now in their own country....and the American companies who moved down there are busy counting their profit $$$ and laughing all the way to the bank. Isolationism has been tried repeatedly and has never been successful...economies based on global partnerships and cooperation will be the ultimate solution. But unfortunately all of this is lost on the 71 yr old man sitting in the oval office whose views are rooted in the past and is now only concerned with amassing as much personal wealth as he can....and throwing out a continuous stream of distractions to divert our attention from the real problems.
