I do! I planted asparagus crowns the other day and I planted 20 heirloom tomatoes night before last to transplant around June 1. Tonight I'll plant some okra that I'll transplant down in June. I usually germinate indoors and transplant later on to get a head start on my season. I'd grow 20 acres if I had the acreage and a market. Oh, and someone to grow with:)

I recall an article that stated the human brain doesn't reach cognitive maturity until around age 25. So if there was an age that such a thing could take place, I'd vote for something way beyond high school or driver's license age.

I didn't think much about the article, itself; but I do agree that there's quite a bit of toxicity in being trained up as a male. An example: I teach at a small private college (yikes, huh!) where we just started a football program about 5 years ago. During the Fall, our Administration gets several phone calls each week from residents living next to the practice field. They're complaining about the cursing! And most of the complaints are aimed at the language coming out of the coaches mouths!!! All the men in my family were football coaches and I can say it's a toxic environment for youth.

I'm from Texas an I'm furious at the State Legislature. Ignorant Bozos. However, even if they do 'biblicize' the textbooks, most schools in my area don't even use textbooks anymore plus students don't read anymore so I wonder if it'll have any impact at all except to satisfy the egos of the adults. I teach at the college level and students don't read and they actually refuse to buy the texts!!! And my school lets them get away with it...
