I finished pollinating my vanilla orchid about 1 month ago, and just got back from a trip. This is what the pods look like now, quite a bit larger than I imagined (my hand for scale is 6" long).

Something to be aware of with box store plants. You might not consider the possibility of buying and spreading disease just from buying plants, but here is food for thought. Support local nurseries if possible.
