@Cutiebeauty they started putting pilotless ignitions and thermocouple on n stoves long time ago, I didn't think there were many left that you could actually leave on without being lit. ( aside from the one made in 1956 that my mother still has .. and it is currently being refit with a pilotless ignition 
@wolf041 you can defeat those things if you really want to.........
