Did you hear the one about the Spinister Oyster who decided to check the Sand Bar?
She got lucky and managed to pull a couple of mussels.
Love your new word "Spinister". I'm sharing this post.
Sorry typo, meant to type Spinster, not Spinister.
@Triphid leave it you should have just got extra brownie points for the share at "Did you hear the one about the Spinister Oyster who decided to check the Sand Bar?"
southern pronunciation
@whiskywoman lol - matches Australian "filum" for "film".
@FrayedBear Nah m8 out here in the 'back of beyond' we just call them 'flicks.'
@Triphid I still remember one of my school english teachers berating me for the use of the American "flicks" instead of cinema.
@FrayedBear We also had a Yankee Teacher in High School who was forever berating us for using Aussie slang words that he couldn't understand, etc.
Boy did he get riled when we'd say 'Seppos' instead of Americans or 'pikelets' instead of 'pancakes' and that biscuits were hard and crisp, not the 'buns'that Seppos call 'biscuits.'
@Triphid Sounds like fair game.
