Yeah, like the guards who work at the immigration centre in Queensland.
@Zealandia As I don't go to Qland & don't go through immigration, we still have free borders, I'm not aware of who works there. The Maoris now form a fair proportion of Qland's population.
@FrayedBear Long story, I know a Māori guy in England whose mother works at the immigration detention centre in Brizzy.
He was threatened with deportation from Queensland whilst staying with his Mum. No fault of his own, he was trying to leave, but it was nearly impossible for him to get a flight out when the Oz borders were shut.
His mum joked that she would feed him KFC through the bars where she worked if immigration had picked him up.
@Zealandia the English comedy radio programme "the Navy Lark" frequently included sarcastic representation of HM Navy intelligence by having their phone answered by a man sounding like a retard with adenoids saying "this is intelligence speaking"!
I'm always reminded of it when I hear stories like yours.
