A circus couple are looking to adopt a child but the agency is very sceptical.
"Sorry but where will the child live?"
" We have a 75 foot motor home. This is the planned nursery" They show pictures of a space most kids would not have.
"Income, its a precarious life you lead. How are you going to be able to guarantee their security?"
"This is our bank and tax records for the last 5 years. As you can see its very healthy and we have already set up a collage fund for the child"
"Education, where will the child go to school?"
"We have private tutors, highly educated people who have joined our circus. Every language you can think of, they will have the opportunity to learn. Plus we visit all the great cities in the world. They will not only be exposed to different cultures but get to see the very best art galleries and museums around the globe. May we also say that so many lessons learnt in a classroom can be learnt in the day to day running of the circus. Bookkeeping, geometry, animal husbandry, geography, mechanics and of course the physical education would be second to none"
"Social interaction, how will the child meet and make friends?"
"Our circus has quite a few kids already and the whole place is one big extended family. They will never feel lonely and every place we visit children will want to befriend them"
"Well okay you seem to have met all the criteria and quelled all of our objections. Do have any preference as regard to age, gender or race?"
"We don't really care, just so long as they can fit into the cannon"
