@Dingodog Have you actually pursued the many possible meanings and origins of Jack and Gill? Yes I favour the G not J in Gill and its association with measures of drink. However I very much admired the linking to the Norse myth. If you are capable of concentrating on Wikipedia for a few minutes there are some fascinating references and hypothesis.
Unfortunately Yahoo could not locate any info on "althrumiersr" on the internet so I cannot comment on that. CTE is certainly an interesting revelation. I shall have to ask my doctor what my last brain scan revealed other than the fact that I have a brain. Strangely I knew that before the scan.
