You gotta ketchup to me first.

@Lilac-JadeCanada I'll relish the thought.

I relish the look, thanks for the condiment.

@Lilac-JadeCanada In OZ don't use ketchup, say tomato sauce. I prefer the rhyming slang, "Dead horse" aka sauce eg "Pass the dead horse"
I was trying to think of a comment using that.

@puff Mustard here can be called mouse turd.....

@Lilac-JadeCanada Cockney are the Kings I think, but we have some of our own eg a Barry Crocker (actor/ singer) is a Shocker.
If you do a "Harold Holt" (our PM who disappeared whilst swimming.....long story) you're doing the "Bolt" eg running away.

@puff Yeah, we don't have many interesting expressions here.

@puff I didn’t know the Harold Holt one….. was amazed to find out how he disappeared swimming.

@puff Yes, tomato sauce here too. My favourite is one made using Tui beer ingredients, called of course Tuimato sauce. A Tui is an indigenous bird, for those who don’t know.

Tomato sauce tastes different from ketchup, not so sharp.

@Zealandia and our famous one is Rosella. Birds of a feather?

@puff Wasn’t aware of the Rosella brand. Googled it and this tomato sauce hasn’t made it across the ditch to NZ.

There’s a few big Aussie brands here, Arnotts comes to mind. Tim Tams are readily available. Must admit, they’re a good biccy.

The kiwi equivalent is the Chit Chat, apparently the company gives a chit about their biscuits according to the packaging.

Must try it the next time I visit Oz, whenever that happens.

@Zealandia Think polly waffles are Oz, and violet crumbles. Snakes are as an expat, many wanted me to bring them a bag of lollie snakes.

@puff First two, have no clue what they are!
Can buy lolly snakes here: [countdown.co.nz]

Some kiwi sweets are now made in Oz. Pineapple Lumps comes to mind.
