I think it unlucky that we're alone just because it's a fairly large universe to only have us. As to whether we'll ever make contact....who knows, there could be millions of other life forms and we'd still be millions of light years apart. And I don't think the vast majority of people are ready for first contact just yet :-)

Humanities first reaction would be to shoot it, if not that cut it open to discover its secrets (D'oh!), if it's microbial a lot won't believe it and they'll be the usual conspiracy bullshit (Boy do I have faith in the human race) or maybe, just maybe, we might learn something :-) As for my reaction, I wouldn't do anything except be really excited and if they arrived by trans-galactic transport hope to fuck they're friendly :-)

Once again work gets in the way of my viewing pleasure so here's my catch up (again) :-) 1. Croatia were as good as Argentina were awful. Argentine keeper in the running for howler of the tournament. 2. England deserved their win, even if they left it late (Phew!) 3. I don't know if Portugal have the equivalent of a Knighthood but Ronaldo should probably get one. 4. Australia hanging on in there :-) 5. France are looking........average 6. Iran played well, disallowed goal not really unlucky as it was offside 7. Senegal, thus far, look like they'll be the most robust of the African contingent. 8. The Russians are on drugs!!!!!! Only joking :-) Tomorrow's games.....Iceland (if they win Argentina are out), Brazil and I don't really care about the other one but if pushed......errr......Switzerland :-)

Do you think autistic people are more likely to be agnostic?

I'm not sure, a lot of autistic people have a learning disability (not sure if it's disproportionate compared to NTs) so would not necessarily have the processing ability to come to a reasoned conclusion but that would be due to the learning disability not the autism. It's also not unreasonable to assume that a lot of people have a belief due to their upbringing and autistic people would be the same. Conclusion......I haven't the foggiest idea but it's an interesting topic :-)

Not sure if my dreams are what everybody has but I've had repetitive dreams, not the same but with the same theme, in this case water and things floating or sinking, my dad used to have them too. I've also killed someone in a dream and I've also been shot. Some of my dreams are very odd - a line of dwarves, shuffling along a wall and jumping down a well (there's more to the scene but that's the gist) I've fallen in love in a dream. I've had sex with, a them, very high profile woman, who I didn't fancy one iota, I've been up to no good in dreams etc There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when I have a dream or if I'll remember it but I have woken with a feeling of having really experienced something. Better knock the late night cheese on the head :-)

STRESS I am not sure exactly how it works, but this is amazingly accurate.

It's an interesting question. Their bodies and physiology can only reflect their environment so if they need eyes, ears and a nose they'll have them in some fashion. But it would depend on where and what they're from. The other thought that crosses my mind with sort of question is would they conceptulise things the same way we do. Different cultures on this planet can have some profound difficulties in this regard when trying to communicate. I think it highly unlikely that we're alone in the universe whether it's intelligent life (how we understand it) or just microbic life but I'm more and more sure that we haven't been visited, at least not that we're aware of. Any sensible alien race would and should give us a wide birth at this stage in our evolution.

I had my youngest daughter with me, she's 11, my eldest and I have contact difficulties due to my ex (their mother) but having said that I got a card and pressy from my eldest and also got a CD, chocolate x2 and a tin of biscuits. My youngest made me pancakes for breakfast. So all in all pretty cool :-)

Looks aside, looks mean diddly squat if there's nothing else, it's probably sense of humour and specifically how they react to mine. If there's no connection or reaction, even a smidgy one, then there's nothing to move on with :-)
