After the shoulder replacement, I Could Not Believe how many random strangers (in line at Wal-Mart, at a table in McD's with grandkids, etc etc) felt free to approach and ask, " Where'd you get that ugly/awful/huge scar?". Correct answer: Putting your nosey ass in the hospital, but I was polite instead. Now nobody says anything but "pretty tattoo" (hummingbird/morning glories). Bah! I have moments of pure happiness all the time because I allow myself to look for & enjoy them. I was molested & abused as a child, first hubby was a heavy drinker & beat the shit out of me regukarly. 2nd hubby seemed much nicer, but turned out to be a narcissistic secret serial philanderer who just about killed me emotionally because "he's such a nice guy, it must be you". Also numerous serious illnesses, several joint replacements, including the one that went badly wrong, estrangement from only daughter due to her abuse of substances and me, etc etc e5c. Which does not make me special, but could be used as an excuse for being miserable.....I guarantee you will not find anyone who gets more enjoyment out of every speck of life!
