@blumandolin You're leaving out one critical detail there, and that would be Obama did push consistently for more gun control measures, that was the point Trajan was trying to make and he was right, no one could deny Obama desired for more gun control measures. Whether he was successful or not at passing more laws was not the point, and the Republican House/Senate majority ultimately saved law abiding gun owners from Obama's bad ideas.

There are consequences for all actions, you and I both know that. I don't think the government has a right to put restrictions on such. What I said was true though, now that it's legal there will be more users, but no one ever said free will is without consequence. See, this is where I disagree with the progressives. Alot of the same people who are for the legalization of cannabis are also alot of the same folks who are against citizens owning certain types of firearms. In short, doesn't matter how much I may personally be against something, I still think everyone has the right to make their own decisions with way less government influence. Grant it, the conservatives are guilty of doing the same where that's concerned at times, the religious zealots in particular often ruin it for the secular conservatives, but not quite in the same manner as the progressive crowd does though. In their quest for social justice etc, the progressives are slowly becoming the enemy that of which they claim to be fighting against, the fun part is most of them are blissfully unaware of such. No amount of laws will ever curb ill behaviors, I'm waiting for both political sides to come to the same realization. I say live your life as you please provided you are not infringing on the life of another, so give em' all the weed they want.

@Elganned In the days of the wild west, any towns that prohibited firearms still did not deter criminals from bringing guns into town. By the way, when I was in school and learned about history from that time period, I was taught many towns back then prohibited the carrying of guns within town limits.

I own a bump stock and it seems to cause a lot of jams on every gun I’ve had it on. I don’t think it should be banned as it’s definitely not a machine gun. Hell I have no problem with machine guns being legal.

Since I could not determine who exactly was behind the dummy accounts, I resorted to blocking anyone who had detailed in their bios any hint of disdain toward conservative-leaning individuals, which is why I had blocked and banned you from the conservative group based on what you mentioned in your bio and figured you would never want to converse with me in the first place. The conservative group has been a favored target of trolls, and for months in a row almost on a daily basis I dealt with someone joining the group just to stir up trouble, and after awhile it got to be too much. I didn't come to this site to give anyone else a headache, so I figured blocking was the best route to go, but do know that I never had anything personal against you or any other progressive-leaning individual on this site. Truth be told, I'm not a far-right conservative nor am I a Republican, Libertarian best describes my political stance. There are members on here who I would consider friends and quite a few of them are liberal leaning, Shelton being one of them. Again, the last thing I want is to be a problem to anyone on this site, and at times on here can be most unwelcoming to views that do not align with the liberal left, so I stick to visiting posts/groups where I know the convos are a bit more neutral. I wouldn't feel good either just bailing and sticking my groups on someone else, but I suppose if one member didn't want to host a group they could either ask another member if they are interested or ask SiteSupport to retire the group.
