SpikeTalon replies on Dec 7, 2018:
@CaroleKay Hi Carole, don't have alot of time at the moment so figured I'd tag you in this post. Since the conservative group was handed down to me I've received multiple hate messages in private from sock puppet accounts that suggested everything from walking off of a cliff to gargling on shards of glass, all due to the group I host. Since I could not determine who exactly was behind the dummy accounts, I resorted to blocking anyone who had detailed in their bios any hint of disdain toward conservative-leaning individuals, which is why I had blocked and banned you from the conservative group based on what you mentioned in your bio and figured you would never want to converse with me in the first place. The conservative group has been a favored target of trolls, and for months in a row almost on a daily basis I dealt with someone joining the group just to stir up trouble, and after awhile it got to be too much. I didn't come to this site to give anyone else a headache, so I figured blocking was the best route to go, but do know that I never had anything personal against you or any other progressive-leaning individual on this site. Truth be told, I'm not a far-right conservative nor am I a Republican, Libertarian best describes my political stance. There are members on here who I would consider friends and quite a few of them are liberal leaning, Shelton being one of them. Again, the last thing I want is to be a problem to anyone on this site, and at times on here can be most unwelcoming to views that do not align with the liberal left, so I stick to visiting posts/groups where I know the convos are a bit more neutral. I'm well aware of GuyKeith's post in the Senate group over me having him blocked and thus he can't see anything I post in that group, and in light of the recent drama in that group I'm considering dropping out, that way I guess neither him or Pralina won't have to worry anymore about seeing my posts as I won't be in the group anymore. With that much said, if you still do hate me or consider me a conservative troll, I understand, the choice to block me again is still yours.

@RavenCT Being that Agnostic.com is available both as a site and app, I think Admin could only do so much to curb spammers. When dealing only with apps, certain authentication measures could be put in place to limit scam accounts, with sites I heard that's not as easy. I wouldn't feel good either just bailing and sticking my groups on someone else, but I suppose if one member didn't want to host a group they could either ask another member if they are interested or ask SiteSupport to retire the group. @dokala You may think it's silly, but it raises a good point that would bear some consideration at the least. Calling it silly is strictly your opinion, which of course you are entitled to. I know you weren't advocating either a political left or right approach... as you pretty much didn't advocate anything at all there aside from just giving an opinion. While you could make a case that both sides more often than not do not seek to fully come to an understanding of the problems we face, some of us are fully aware of the situation(s) and are actively thinking of ways to remedy said problems. To claim "no side ever makes an attempt to understand the problem" (key word there ever) would not be accurate. Also, I wouldn't underestimate the power of a pissed off population if I were you, determination can give individuals strength when they need it most. Our society has become so politically correct that alot of my fellow Americans almost automatically fall back on their emotions when an idea/thought/suggestion comes up such as the meme above, as it appears most people do not like it when they are told to owe up in life when faced with complicated decisions, therefore it's far simpler to call such silly or not applicable. @FrayedBear It's all good Richard. I just did that post to alert those who recently joined the site so they know about the Lobby group. Of course any member is welcome, level 3 and higher because you have to be at least that level in order to use the chatroom, and Admin set that rule.

@RavenCT I usually don't pay much attention to that part as in the past I've observed the similar groups list would be way off. I tagged Admin in my post.
This site has really turned out to be a very nice group of people.

I am a conservative Republican, Capitalist, atheist and a gun owner. Who shall I fear more the religious or the liberal atheist? It makes me wonder what will happen when I get on the gun control group. Will I find the same self speak or logic and critical thinking?
SpikeTalon replies on Nov 29, 2018:
@kgoodyear Admin on this site doesn't appear to weigh in on the public posts when politics are brought up.

@Alshaytan Indeed. In my twenties I entertained at a few hen parties and I could tell you firsthand alot of women act no different than men when at such events.

You'll find more of the same in the gun control group. Besides the conservative group, I also host this group- "Pro Gun Rights Group" I hope you decide to stick around on this site, you aren't alone.

I pretty much have cut all ties to local atheist groups due to the political ideology that comes along with them. I have veeery little problem with religious people that get to know me ''as a conservative'' before they find out I am agnostic.
SpikeTalon replies on Nov 29, 2018:
@kgoodyear Unfortunately that is how a good majority of those on this site think and act like, and during my time on this site I've received quite a few hateful private messages over my conservative views.

SpikeTalon replies on Nov 29, 2018:
I've gotten to a point where I fear the liberal progressives far more than the religious as the progressive agenda is a rather aggressive one in which is against individual liberties in favor of a collectivist mentality.

@MrBeelzeebubbles Never said I personally needed an AR-15 for hunting, my point there was that it's no one else's business what someone owns. If people aren't killing each other with guns, then they will find other means of doing so. If we had even more tighter restrictions on gun ownership in the US, it still wouldn't be enough to deter criminals. I really get a kick out of those who blame the weapon for the crime instead of the individual, right folks just blame an inanimate object like an AR-15 for a shooting...

@MrBeelzeebubbles Yeah, as if drunk driving laws actually stop drunk people from getting behind the wheel, or texting on their gizmos and cause a crash. When are people going to wake up and realize criminals and ignorant people do not obey laws, and with thriving black markets available to do business on the black web crazy folks will be able to acquire firearms if they want them that bad, no "magical gun control laws" are going to stop that. Some of the worse mass shootings in the US have occured in liberal progressive states with the toughest gun control laws, oh well so much for that. Furthermore, you say an AR-15 is useless for hunting, oh really now? Did you ever go hunting with one, please by all means do share your experience Mr Bubbles, a curious mind wants to know. If your answer be no, then I would say you lack the experience necessary to make such a bold statement as you did. If your answer is yes (I see you're from the UK so I'd bet you never even picked up an AR-15 before), please provide some evidence, I promise I won't freak out if you post a photo on here of you holding and or hunting with an AR-15, as inanimate objects don't frighten me. I'm "agnostic" until evidence is presented.

Never said I endorse Crowder, but I do agree with him on the article I shared above. You must understand that some of us are cautious when it comes to the gun control crowd, as quite a few of their idols have openly talked about seizing all privately owned firearms if they could, and let's not forget what happened in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina (authorities went door to door to confiscate guns from citizens who holed up in their homes). By the way, there is a member in this group who goes by the name Lancer and he's from Australia, and he would disagree with what Snopes had to say about Australian gun control. Talk about tools, Snopes is so slanted it's not funny.
Opinions wanted: What if Ted Cruz had been elected, instead of Donald Trump?
Trajan61 comments on Nov 25, 2018:
Even if Ted Cruz had won the republican nomination I doubt he could have won in the general election as he’s very conservative and affiliated to much with the religous right but he would have been good had he been able to win. I’m happy with Trump so far and will likely vote for him again.
