Your example is a good reason why I refuse to criticize or harass someone who has not yet received the Covid vaccine, as some people have medical conditions preventing them from getting vaccinated, it's not good to pass harsh judgment on all of the unvaccinated until we know each and every one of their stories/background on the matter.

Also, your Facebook groups had nothing directly to do with the previous comment, so not sure why you brought that up. I too have a mixture of friends from various political persuasions.
There's no need to get personal, I was not getting personal with you and apologize if you read into my last comment incorrectly, if you read that closely you'd see I was saying that strictly for me and if it was meant to be directed at you or anyone else I would have addressed you directly. I ask that honestly and not to be sarcastic, I'm truly curious as to what you stand to gain besides a few fleeting laughs? Based on what I've witnessed in just the last six months alone, such posts come with a price, in this case the price being still far too many that are resisting getting vaccinated, and I can't help but think that situation surely doesn't have to be that way. Are such posts synonymous with secular humanism? Maybe they are, I wouldn't know that as I do not identify as humanist.
For what it's worth, in the past I had participated in the sharing of similar posts, and have since stepped back from doing such, and if anything have regrets as now I see such posts only help further the social divide.

Also, it's not just that some may find memes like that offensive, it comes down to what I pointed out above in that some would simply conclude those who push such memes are jerks/trolls who are only interested in one side of the story. I get the feeling that if there would be a little less mockery of the vaccine hesitant, maybe more would be open minded to getting vaccinated. Easier said than done I know, it is frustrating trying to convince such people. The animosity I see these days over the topic is concerning, which is what prompted me to do this post. Keep up doing what you've been doing, knowing that most of us on here certainly have respect for your hard work and dedication.

The posting of blatantly false information should be confronted, but my concern there was the approach some pro vaccine individuals take when the topic comes up. I've personally never been insulted by any memes on this site, but such goes beyond the scope of this site though, namely every day interactions among vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals. Aside from one member on here who immediately would come to mind, I haven't seen these anti vaccine posts that some have been complaining about, maybe they either have me blocked or I have them blocked?
I don't see how memes that openly dehumanize others are somehow showing solidarity with our frontline medical workers, such memes and an overall approach to the topic like that in general are what I think is driving people away, and some of such posts aren't accurate either. That's part of the reason by the way that Admin has been somewhat disconnected from this site recently, when political-based chats come up in certain groups in comes the dehumanizing, and after awhile that got to be too much for Admin to take.

My concern in general was certain individuals in the pro science crowd who choose to belittle and make fun of those who do not agree with their views, which have not been a productive approach. As for the last part of your comment, not sure about that, perhaps I am wrong on that and hope that is indeed just the case, guess I'll find out. Most of us know someone who either struggled with the disease or died from it, and I know how my friend Bernadine (who is in her mid sixties now) had suffered on and off with the disease, no one should have to suffer like that. Hope a cure is discovered soon. As for my idea(s) for this group, that would also depend on the direction the group host wants to go. Should be interesting. Say for example Alts would like to wish her friend Pralina birthday wishes when her special day arrives, I could do a post with maybe a personalized message and attach a pic.
Other idea was more or less charity-based. Long story short, a close family friend had battled breast cancer three times now (her name is Bernadine), and over the years has gotten much support from the pink ribbon crowd. There was a charity calendar that benefitted breast cancer research called the 60 Mile Men which featured dudes from all walks of life posing naked but discreetly covered. Meanwhile, Bernadine's oldest daughter had also developed the disease, and I said to her that I would be interested in being a model for that and doing a dedication for her daughter. Unfortunately, in November of 2012 her daughter passed away at age 40, and in 2013 the 60 Mile Men decided to permanently cancel their charity calendars. With breast cancer awareness month around the corner, was wondering what fellow group members would think about starting some sort of charity pool and maybe round up a few willing male members to contribute photos to this group? Probably a far fetched idea, but then again maybe not. Just a few ideas there to maybe help boost this group.

The image isn't real good as the camera I had back then was low quality, might be able to see it better on a computer screen. In case you wonder about the choice of props used, my girlfriend at the time asked me to pose with such and took the photo, have not the slightest clue myself as to why she choose said props. @Pralina1 The lows (hypoglycemia) are truly worse than the highs, I agree. Back in December I suffered a serious low blood sugar, had visited my mother mostly in order to shovel out her car, snowed alot, and shortly afterwards I came inside and passed out on the couch where she found me a short time later. Needed Glucagon in order to bring me back around, lucky there considering I live by myself and the lows are a constant worry. I've been through some trying times in the past, various injuries and all and physical tests etc, and even while first diagnosed and in ketoacidosis which was slowly killing me I had never before lost consciousness suddenly, but that low came without warning and knocked me flat on my ass.
Made my mind up from the start that I was going to closely manage my condition, these days largely avoid eating foods that could seriously spike my blood sugar. Guess that's a good thing, as most likely I won't become overweight ever. Thank you again for concern, much appreciated. For what it's worth, you made my day a bit better, sometimes it's the small thoughts that count.

The Dexcom G6 CGM is compatible now with Android, back in May I was on a ten day trial period (using the Dexcom G6) at my doctor's suggestion, to monitor my blood sugar trends, which went well by the way. Insurance so far has refused to cover one, but recently my endocrinologist sent them a letter stating medical necessity as the CGM was really useful, so that might change soon. In the meantime, I manually check my blood sugar six-eight times a day. Aside from a few unusual high readings probably due to stress, been doing okay, so all good for the most part. Thank you for asking, that is much appreciated, sure wish more family members would ask me every now and then how I'm doing with the diabetes. The friends I've made online actually have shown more concern on that than most of the friends I know in person.

Somewhat surprised there aren't more members in this group, would have thought there were a reasonable amount of female members on here who would be interested in the topic, like there are male members, and if such entertainment is available for men it should equally be so for women. At least Admin hasn't bothered this group, heard awhile back there was much ado over the female XXX groups, and Admin had considered deleting at least one of them.
As for the full frontal nudes, never shared any of those online as I don't want to offend anyone, and if anything that might be something for the private messenger if someone requested that to me. When I had shared in this group, seems most members preferred something risque as opposed to total nude, but guess that's subject to change though. I'm far from being anti-vaccine, have gotten plenty of vaccinations over the years, and yet that didn't stop me from developing Type 1 Diabetes at age 35. In contrast, I have a few friends who are largely anti-vax, and technically they are healthier than I could claim.

Not all of us are that bad. Back when I had shared a few pics in this group most of the women here were already well aware of my political views, and it didn't seem to bother them much, they were mostly interested in the photos lol. Then again, I'm not hardline either political stance.

Not long ago I had shared a pic with altschmerz at her request as my posts in this group were deleted shortly before I took a break from this site for a year, and deleted them as did not anticipate returning to this site. Still have a few photos from back in 2006-2008 backed up on discs, but disc drive on computer is busted. Might have the photo I sent altschmerz already loaded on the computer, just need to find it.
@altschmerz If you still have that photo archived and are able to share it on this thread, be my guest. Only have access to mobile which means smaller photo size, and that one was poorer quality to begin with. There's no option that I'm aware of to download images shared on this site, which there should be. Would have to screenshot images instead.

Even though over the years I've received plenty of vaccinations, none of that could prevent my immune system from going haywire suddenly giving me the diabetes in the process. The above meme implied those who do not get vaccinated will get screwed up (for lack of a better term there) in some way, unless I read into that wrong.

See... I'm fair, I readily acknowledge that embargos like the one on Cuba cause problems, but I also acknowledge dangerous Government regimes as well. If you paid close attention to what the Cuban citizens were saying while protesting, you would have noticed they were chanting "freedom", which is an indicator of discontent with their Government.
Keep in mind, if you objected to something I said earlier, it was you who initiated leaving behind a snide remark, and I only responded back honestly. You didn't even attempt to actually ask me what my views were on the topic, instead you just launched into what amounted to an angry tirade. By the way, those Scandinavian countries you speak of that supposedly have it so good... they are as good as they are due to the fact that like us their countries support free market capitalism and they have some social welfare programs in place too (aka social safety nets). So they owe what they have in large part due to the fact capitalism has and continues to contribute to their overall wealth and success, and to say otherwise would be disingenuous.

I disagree with you on the last part, most of those on the right feel that their country has been hijacked by politically correct thugs, whereas those on the far-left seek to destroy everything that makes up this country, making the latter far worse. Personally, I do not care for either extreme. In the beginning when the BLM movement was fairly new, I was impressed with their goals and thought that's an advocacy group I could get behind, but I soon found out otherwise. A year ago BLM marched through my neighborhood, and I witnessed some of the "protesters" attempting to pick a fight with my neighbor on the account said neighbor had an American Flag flying on his porch, and the ensuing harassment he faced from them was totally unwarranted. Nevermind the fact that there have been plenty of leftwing advocates who openly talked about desires to kill those who do not align with progressive ideology, most recently a psychiatrist who said she dreamed about putting a revolver to the heads of any white person that she perceived "got in her way". How's that for peaceful (or even progressive for that matter)? Too many of BLM's allies feel that way, rendering them no better than those on the far-right who they like to complain about. On the other hand, over the years I've had disagreements with those on the right as well, and the disagreements were fairly civil with no one making threats or considering acts of violence. Not so lucky I'm afraid. This morning woke up to fever, chills, feeling like I had to barf, aching all over, to name a few things. Feel lousy right now, hopefully side effects don't last long. First dose didn't get any side effects at least.
