Age has its nasty habit of taking a toll on every part of the body, the memory included, unfortunately. Perhaps your balance problem may well be an after-effect of C-19 or it could also being resultant of something else, a slight infection of the Inner Ear, a blocked ear canal commonly called a "Glue Ear." Have you had your ears checked of late, if not, it might be a good idea to do so since almost any U.R.T.I ( Upper Respiratory Tract Infection) , even Tinnitus can and often does cause problems with your balance, etc.

@Davekp Hey, we even have OPEN camp-fires in our own backyards here as well. We get bush-fires in Australia in summer, bloody big ones at that mind you. That pic was taken about 2 years ago when this region was in Drought for well over 5+ years, so of course the ground was bare. Our AVERAGE Annual Rainfall out here is just 10 inches , IF we are lucky, but the vegetation around here, most of it, has evolved for such conditions and once a good season or 2 comes along it springs back very quickly. But, imo, NOTHING comes even close to the good old Aussie style Barbie.

Well, it would be, imo, like his BIG plan to become the Main Sales Point for Firewood around town about 4 years ago. The biggest problems from that idea were, 1) he NEEDED me for a source of Contacts on Grazing Properties where he (LOL) could source the firewood WITHOUT needing to cut the Property Owners in the deal, 2) the 'plan' involved me cutting, collecting and storing the firewood solo but being charged for fuel and the use of his vehicle and trailer at a nominal fee of a, in his words, $40.00 per trip, 3) ME, loading the trailer for every delivery, delivering it and unloading it for a MERE recompense of 20% per load, priced at $120.00 per half tonne, 4) Him using my home phone number and ME to take orders BECAUSE he is on the Dole and IF the Social Security found out, he'd lose his Job Seeker Payments, 5) PLUS, keeping a SUPPLY on hand for HIS use only as well. I'll leave it to you to guess what I told him to do with HIS Big Plan then. I have 3 sources where I can go, with my friend Alan, each winter, to collect, cut and load firewood for both myself and Alan every winter. We ONLY collect from dead and fallen trees that we also replace with seedlings grown at home, so far in the last 3 years we have planted about 200+ seedlings that have grown to reasonable sized trees which has made the Property Owners more than happy. And this winter, thanks to some decent rains, etc, we will be planting about 150 more seedlings of Mulga, Redgum, Mallee and Black Box, weather permitting.

I'm quite well acquainted withy numerous Graziers around my region of N.S.W., they detest with a passion Daylight Saving during Spring through to Autumn and here are but a few of their reasons. Their Working days, usually Monday through to Saturday, with Sundays being 'reserved mainly for a 'Rest' day where they only venture out in the morning and late afternoon to to "check on the Stock watering points and the Stock. On Sundays, they admit to having a 'sleep-in,' i.e. NOT getting out of bed until 6-6.30 AM. Monday through Saturday , their day starts at around 5.00AM, with a Shower, donning their work clothes, having breakfast then checking over whatever vehicle they will be using for the day. Then loading it up with whatever tools, etc, they may need for the days work. Remember here, that some Properties are anywhere from 50-100,000 Acres in size at least with others even bigger. First task for the day is ALWAYS a drive around to check on the Stock and the Watering points, then comes checking fences, gates, etc, repairing or re-straining the wire strands that make up the miles and miles of fences that both surround the Property/Properties, since some own more than ONE Property, and the fences dividing each separate paddock. That can take anywhere from 2-3 hours at a minimum, then comes doing any repairs, etc, to Watering Points, Water Pumps, Water tanks and such usually taking another 2 or more hours minimum. By that time in Summer, the ambient temps are usually between the HIGH 20's to to low 30's Celsius. Then, IF they are lucky, they head back to home for lunch and about half an hour of rest after lunch. Then routine starts all over again IF necessary, otherwise they spend the rest of the day until around sunset maintaining/repairing vehicles, etc, doing repairs, etc, around the Homestead BEFORE showering again, changing clothes, having their evening meal followed, usually by doing the paperwork required for the Property/Properties. In BAD seasons, dry spells/droughts their workloads also require supplementary feedings of the Stock at least twice per day, 7 days per week. With Sheep, which most of them run out this way, comes Lambing Season, usually running through from late Autumn to late Winter. That is usually when predators such as Foxes, Feral Cats and Feral Dogs ARE the biggest problems of them all. The Property Owners are usually needed to do Drive Arounds at staggered hours during those times day and night on TOP of their 'normal' working hours btw. SOME may be lucky enough to be able to employ Stand-hands that help to lessen the work loads, others lucky enough to have either sons or daughters willing to lend a hand. Life in the Aussie Outback as a Grazier is NOT an easy one and Daylight Saving does NOTHING at all to make it any better.

No, ever since I was asked to Volunteer as the Moderator I HAVE tried to both welcome New Members and include ALL other members and their posts, etc, accordingly. And, YES< I have differed with some of their comments, etc, and said so quite plainly as well. But it seems, imo, that this @waitingforgodo may just be trying his/her hands at Trolling, etc, OR, perhaps have a wee axe to grind with ANYTHING that is Australian by nature. I noted that from his/her Profile page that he/she is a MEMBER of ONLY 2 (TWO) Groups, those being "Topic of the Day" and the Community Senate. Which kind of makes me wonder why that is.
