@FrayedBear Yes, I live in town and less than 1 kilometre away there is Mobile Phone Repeater Tower but whenever we got out bush to get firewood youcan bank on there being No Signal available for a Mobile Phone that my friend, Alan, always has with him. And as for this crap about micro-wave radiation, etc, from mobile phones and towers WELL you get far more micro-radiation from you Micro-wave Oven in your kitchen than is emanating from a mobile phone or from a mobile phone tower. UHF, VHF and Micro-wave signal ONLY travel in straight lines from tower to tower and from tower to phone and back again unlike other radio signals in the lower frequency bands, such as AM radio, Shortwave Radio, that can be reflected off of the Ionosphere ( bounced) Micro-waves, etc, cannot be reflected off of the Ionosphere nor can they follow the curvature of the earth either. That is one of the first things one learns, besides Morse Code and electronics, etc, when one gains their Amateur Radio Operators Licence as I did way back in my late teens.

@WilliamFleming So, going by what I assume you've just said, then your profile, your profile photo, your comments on the site and groups, etc, are absolutely nothing more than NOTHING and as we so often informed by the Religious " Nothing can come from Nothing." So, enlighten me please, since you are, as you appear to imply, a non-corproreal entity, just a mere shell transporting around an awareness, then where exactly did, A) this 'shell' come from, if at all you are just a mere shell that is, B) Where and from whence did this non-corporeal 'awareness' come into being and by what means, C) How, exactly can this 'awareness' claim to have had ACTUAL 'parents,' D) what source/s of energy power/drive/energize this non-corporeal 'awareness' during its non-corporeal existence, and last but by no means least, E) what happens to this 'awareness' when it no longer operates. i.e. dies? As to you anaolgy of a computer verus a human brain and body, well my example was merely in simple terms that the mind, brain, central nervous system and autonomic nervous system are somewhat AKIN to a computer BUT the difference ids that a computer requires an EXTERNAL power source to operate efficiently whereas the REALITY of the human body creates its own electrical energy, an energy which has been PROVEN time and time again to EXIST. Albeit that that electrical energy is a very very low voltage, amperage, etc, but it does exist none-the -less. As the brain grows, develops and learns it creates new neural pathways ( tracks similar to the circuits on a circuit board if you will) between neurons and axions, etc, alomg which these micro-electric pulses can travel thus increasing the memory capacity and abilities of the brain. But, unlike the computers we create our brains, well for most of us that is, do not have a limited memory capacity whereas computers have a limited memory capacity. Yet we too have both a R.O.M. system within our brains/minds as well as R.A.M. system just as does your computer, lap-top, iphone, ipad, etc, etc, our R.O.M system is what I'd loosely label as being the Autonomic/Central Nervous System of the brain/mind, our R.A.M. system is the major part of our mind/brain and it learns, write and re-writes its 'circuits' on a basis of possibly and probably every second or minute as we learn, realize or comprehend something new ech and every time/hour,day, etc, we are awake and aware. For example, a new born child has no ambulatory abilities at birth, but as time and experiences go by it observes, learns and the 'circuits' in the brain/mind are formed slowly and steadily then, voila, the 'circiuts' are complete, the new neurons and axions can now receive the necessary micro-electirical impulse and the child begins to learn to stand, place one foot in ...

WilliamFleming comments on Apr 26, 2020:
Put me down for a firm YES, and I wholly agree with your post! Keep it up.
Triphid replies on Apr 27, 2020:
@WilliamFleming Firstly William, and medically speaking here, you HAVE to be awake first to have any sign of detectable consciousness, ergo your conscious brain must be active. There two distinct sectors of the brain/mind in human, the Conscious brain/mind and the Sub-Conscious brain/mind. While the Conscious brain/mind is alert and active the Sub-Conscious brain is semi-dormant and vice versa. During sleep phases the Conscious switches off and the Sub-Conscious 'downloads, sorts through and corellates what the Conscious has learned, interpreted, observed, etc, etc, during its active period. Then we have the Autonomic Nervous system controlled mainly by an entirely different section of the brian/mind, this is somewhat akin to an operations programme of a Master Computer system, it runs independenttly 24/7 365 days a year for your entire life sending signals to your heart lungs, endocrine systems, etc, etc, telling them what do, how to do it and when to do it, etc, etc, that is UNLESS a 'glitch' such as an embolism, Brain Haemorrage, severe Head Injury or Cerebro-vascular accident, etc, occurrs in the region of Autonomic Nervous system/brain/mind then shit truly does often hit fan, so to speak. But since, as both you and JeffMesser seem to want to have us believe, we are Non-corporeal, Non-material ( i.e. being made up of matter) then such things cannot exist therefore Medicine, Medical Sciences, etc, etc, are guilty of suppositions in extremis are they not? Ergo, should you or Jeff suddenly develop symptoms of a Brain Haemorrhage, C.V.A. or the like, though I would most sincerely and emphatically NOT recommend doing so, you could both just put such 'symptoms' down as being minor error in the algorithms controlling your 'awareness' programmes.
I'm confused.

@powder They can exert any 'force' they so desire by simply saying that "It is for the good and benefit of the Nation as a whole." But I WILL stand on my right as an individual person and REFUSE point blank to have a mobile phone UNLESS they give me their solemn word that, A) they WILL pay for it, all costs, etc, included, B) their iron-clad guarantee in writing that NO information will be retained, sold on to any other comany, service, etc, post or during the Pandemic, and, C) they accept in a written assurance that THEY accept all cost incrued from such phone for EVERY PERSON they 'force' to have said phone and app. installed AND NO monies are spent from the Public Purse as well. Under the International Bill of Human Rights as per the United Nations, we cannot be forced/coerced into having something that we do not wish to have UNLESS it is a vaccination against diseases, etc, and then and only then can it be 'for the health and safety of the People as a whole.'

@FrayedBear Well of course the drought would affect, adversely, the Dung Beetle population just as it did for every other living thing, i.e. fewer animals shitting means less shit for the beetles meands less breeding of the beetles, it doesn't take a bloody genius to work that one out. @Surfpirate Yep, I used the same yesterday when Evangeloon was running around the whole neighbourhood demanding, imo, to be permitted the usage of everyone's showers and water supplies after his hot water system decided to shred itself at around 7.00am that morning, ripping through 3 walls of his bathroom, blowing a hole through the roof and sending shrapnel into his kirchen. All of that because, a) he and his Evangeloon friends, I use that term very loosely btw, held a candle light prayer meeting in front just over a week or so ago and they drove a metal spike through the copper pipe from the water meter to his house, b) Evangeloon annoyed the Plumber so much when he arrived the other day to fix the leak that the Plumber upped and left, c) stupid Evangeloon turned off the water supply at the isolation valve at the meter to stop the leak but left the electricity switched on to the hot water system.

@Lilac-Jade Nope, If him and his Evangeloon friends hadn't driven pointed metal spikes into the ground to put their candles on for their 'prayer' meeting in his front yard the pipe wouldn't have ended up with a hole in it in the first place, If numbnuts had just let the Plumber do the repair job and kept his mouth from flapping away like a demented sea-gull the leak would have been fixed AND IF numbnuts had NOT turned off the water at the mains AND switched off the power to hot water system it wouldn't have built up so much pressure and shredded itself. At a rough guess I'd say he's now looking down the barrel at a VERY big lot of bills in the near future, a) a Bill from the S.E.S. for attending after the hotwater system shredded itself and the bathroom, etc, possible in the range of about $1,500, b) a Bill from the Police and the Fire Brigade for attending, approx. 2- 3,00 dollars in total, c) bills from Builders, Electricians, Plumbers and the Building Surveyor, who knows how much they'll be, d) a bill for the removal and clean-up of eberything that was damaged/destroyed, probably around the $1,000 mark, and, e) since he admitted to the Police that HE turned off the water at the mains meter but did NOT switch off the electricity to the hot water system, the House Insurance will NOT cover any of it. ONE very big and massive bill a well. And, as an extra note, he is now running around the neighbourhood asking if he can use our showers and water, etc, etc, any time he wants. He's got 2 chances of any of that happening, Bugger all and NONE what-so-ever.
Well a wee bit of an ironic tale from the Lock-down here.

@Lilac-Jade Got woken up by a rather big bang about 7 this morning, I should have been a Nostradamus I think LOL. Evangeloons hot water system went off with a bang and heaps of steam this morning, shredded it self, blasted through 3 of the walls of his bathroom, tore a hole in the roof and sent bits of 'shrapnel' flying through his kitchen, no-one was hurt thankfully. So it now looks like he'll be needed a Plumber, an Electrician, a Building Surveyor to assess the damage, a Builder to do the repairs all because. so he stated, "I turned off the water supply valve myself to stop the leak, why is Jesus picking on me, one of his followers, when he should be punishing all you Atheist Heathens instead?" My response to his wailing was, " Well your God does move in mysterious ways doesn't he.?"

Unless you include the Op-shop' style 'charities' that some religions operate where they get the things they sell for absolutely NOTHING and then proceed to sell them at almost retail prices. For example, after my daughter succumbed to Lymphoma I donated her clothes to the Salvation Army Op-Shop only to find out a few weeks later that they had been selling them for around a dollar less than I had originally paid for them In my opinion, IF that is 'charity then I am a one-eyed, legless, deaf, dumb and blind mute of a Chinaman,no offense meant to Asians of any nation btw.

@Lilac-Jade Me neither, he hasn't checked or tested, as per the regulations/rules the Pressure Release valve on his hot-water system for as long as he has been there, you are supposed to activate it at least once every 3 months both to check that it's operational and to check that the escape pipe is clear of any obstructions. Back in the 90's when I was a volunteer with our local State Emergency Services we were called out to a house where some idiot had replaced the Safety Valve with a simple bolt screwed into the valve socket, the hot-water system, 250 litre capacity, had continued operating until it had exploded from the internal pressure, it totally destroyed itself and torn out about 2/3's of the bathroom walls and the ceiling as well. Thankfully for me, Evangeloons hot-water system is over 4 metres away from the side of my house but if it explodes his bathroom is going to be history to say the least.

@273kelvin Ah, the Aussie Red-backe spider, the denizon of the Dunny, know those little buggers only too well. Actually got bitten on the 'wedding tackle' by one while helping out on friend's Sheep Property back in the early 70's. Being in somewhat hurry to get to the dunny before ending up in a very embarrassing situation, I forgot to do the usual ritual of brush around the underside of the wooden seat, felt the sting of the bite just as I had finished the 'paperwork' and saw Mrs. Red-back crawling back under the seat. A week in hospital with agonising pain, swelling, sweats and shivers, cold compresses aplied to my closest mate (LOL) and baths in salty water 3 times a day only to learn that I had been robbed of taking revenge on Mrs. Red-back because they, the property owners, had saturated the dunny with DDT in my abscence. Btw, it IS only the female Red-back that bites, the males are tiny and non-venemous and are usualeaten by thefemale after mating IF they aren't quick enough to escape that it.

Ytzakk started to turn and leave until I turned to him and said, by the rites and lores of both my Aboriginal and Cherokee heritage I hereby make you, Ytzaak, my Great Uncle. I think I saw quite a few tears of joy come into Ytzakks eyes at that moment. We sat, as per the rules about 2 metres apart, enjoying the warth of both the sun and our friendship, chatted away about various things, including that he, Ytzaak, considers himself to 'cultural Jew'and not a full on Jew, as were his words, he learned the taste of what I call my Aussie special, a glass of Icy cold Iced Coffee milk with a very generous scoop of vanilla Ice Cream in it ( he coyly asked for a second helping btw, which he got) and about 2 hours later he wandered of home saying that he was making a detour to the Supermarket on the way to buy some Iced Coffee Essence and some Vanilla Ice Cream so he can introduce his wife, Mariam, to this great drink. I have also been invited to dinner at his house next Friday evening BUT on the proviso that I bring along both the recipe for my "wonderful" Cheeseslaw salad and a container of it so Mariam can taste the wonders of this Broken Hill Aussie salad. @t1nick Well, in actual fact it seems that Australian Emus and the other kinds of flightless birds ( known scientifically as Ratites ), such as the Rhea, the Ostrich for example, are more likely closer related to the therapod dinosaurs than common sparrows since, for one, the Australian Emu ONLY builds a nest out of dirt on the ground, very little else is used to make this very circular nest with an average diameter of approx. 2 to 2.5 metres. An emu, as shown in the attached photo, is something I am most fully aware of, the can stand up to 2 metres tall, run at over 30 kilometres per hour, are omnivorous, the females are NOT the ones who incubate, hatch out the young and care and raise them, the males do the whole thing solo, the females are extremely 'promiscuous, mate with every male they can find, lay their eggs into every available nest they can find, no matter who fertilised the eggs in the first place, then simply leave the males to do the work.

' them to convert to Christianity I did NOT include the tally of the Crusades, the Riots in Alexandria, the Catholic pogrms against the Jews, the Protestants, Huegnots, the Lutherans nor even the death toll of the Jews from the Tsarist pogrms in Russia pre- the Russian Revolution. Oh, and let's not forget the death of Slavery, yet another example of the Christian Ideology that white skinned Europeans or Caucasians are superior to those of a darker skin variety. And please give some actual documentary evidence that is both verifiable and irrefutable to support your claim of a Death of 300 Million caused by Islam alone.

I often see the ideology of Globalization as being a ploy to increase the reach, etc, of the rich and powerful and the erosion of the individuality of the peoples and their nations, i.e. a type or version of George Orwell's 1984 one might suggest. Yes, ensure that every man, woman and child is ...

@Mofo1953 Yeah well, real 'true blue' Aussie take that show with a very small grain of salt and usually piss that out at the earliest possible convenience, it is 100% biased drivel spewed forth from the rancid mouths of drop-dead drongoes who have NEVER left the confines of the concrete jungles in which they live. Shit, I remember being stuck on the road-side of the Highway across the NullaborPlains to Perth, W.A. in 1972 when the drive sporcket on my Honda 750 threw off a tooth, 17 cars pulled over to ask if they could help but they had no room for my bike and me in their cars, but a truckie came along, pulled his semi-trailer over onto the side of the road, asked if he could help. When I told what had happened, he just looked at the bike and said, " How about we have a cuppa and a smoke then I'll help ya load her on to the trailer and give ya ride into the nearest big town that has a motorbike dealer so as you get it fixed?' 8 hours of travel later and with me offering him money over and over again we arrived in Kalgoorlie, found a garage and a mechanic and still he refused to take any payment except me shouting him a cold beer while my bike was being repaired. That, my friend, is STILL how true blue Aussies out here in Outback act towards and treat each other unlike those stuck-up snobs in the big smokes.

@PBuck0145 Would I correct in assuming that you knowledge of the Atrocities caused by Christianity in the past 1,000+ years is somewhat limited? If that be so, may I suggest you do a bit of 'reading up' on subjects such as the Crusades, the Christian Roits of Alexandria, Egypt, the Invasions of South America, the pogrms of the Catholics against the Jews, the Huegenots, the Protestants, the Lutherans of Germany, the pogrms of the Orthodox Russians against the Russian Jews, etc, etc? A quick estimate of the death tolls from all of those would be an underestimation, to say the very least, if one were put the tally at anything less than 5-6 million.

Well, I tend to see it that 'nature' tries to fill any and niches in the ecosystem so that no niche species goes through without one form or another of predator and thus, overruns the whole system. After all, did not the Pterasaurs ( flying Dinosaurs) evolve from small to medium sized land and ...
Triphid replies on Apr 21, 2020:
@t1nick Yes, but modern birds are an end product of the evolution of the feathered terestrial dinosaurs, the Therapod dinosaurs are they not? And nobody can say for absolute certainity as whether or not dinosaurs or even pterasaurs were exothermic or endothermic though I tend to think that they would most likely have been warm-blooded given the amount of time, etc, that would be required for them to 'warm up' as we see with modern reptiles.
Okay, I will be a trifle controversial here .

@Mofo1953 At least Australia and Broken Hill are nowhere near as shitty as some places in America and trust me, I have been there twice, the first was when I was 13 years old and second time, also being most definitely the last, was in 1998. The only decent people I met there were my long lost Cherokee and Najavo Relatives. I have never seen cities where there is rubbish piled in alleyways, etc, etc, as there are in places like New York, Los Angeles, etc, etc. And at lest here in Australia anyone can walk down the street, smile and say Hello or G'day to a complete stranger and get a smile and Hello/G'day back instead of taking the chancve of either being mugged, beaten, stabbed or shot or even the whole gambit. Though I will say most emphatically that 99% of the members I have communicated with , etc, on here from America are decent people.

Who gives a fig about a couple of jesus freaks. The real question is: What can you say to get the cops out there AFTER the COVID 19 lockdown?
Triphid replies on Apr 21, 2020:
@Macanudo My house is in a lane, a paved one with houses facing into it the whole length, that almost runs the entire distance acros the town as well. The closest main road is about half a city block from me and it connects 2 of the Highways that enter town from either side. If you get a Google street map of Broken Hill you'll see that is a medium sized sort of town/city for inland Australia, Pop. 19,000. So it's not as if anyone is asking the cops to leave the 'safe haven' of the paved roads and built up areas when they are askedto come to a problem, etc.

@FrayedBear Hey, I WAS abused in almost ALL the ways you can imagine by my mother as a child, as for 'abuse by medical professionals' well in ALL my years as a nurse I can safely say that I know of ONLY 4 occasion where a Medical Profeesional abused a patient/s. But can also remember, very clearly COUNTLESS cases of Medical Professionals and Workers being abused by patients, etc, etc, but never once have I seen either a Doctor or a nurse retaliate against and abusive patient, etc. As a nurse I have been spat upon, had faeces thrown at me, kicked, punched, sworn at, copped verbal abuse in words and terms that are beyond imagination, etc, etc, but have kept my 'cool' even though the thought of a quick slap around chops had crossed my mind. Err, may one ask how you actually lived under 'Nazi Fascism' perchance?
