@Beelzebant Forget the fancy car and castle this way mate, I'd settle for just the Butler, actually a Female Butler aged around 45 - 55 would be great, and a new Royal Enfield 500cc Motorcycle with a Sidecar. I've got my own " castle," sort of, since after all a mans' home is his castle isn't it.

Triphid replies on Sep 20, 2018:
@Geoffrey51 Well, I think the Drought situation is ONE of the most important matters facing the ENTIRE Country at present, just as are things like Unemployment, a LNP Government that, in my opinion couldn't manage to run a FREE Raffle in a Whorehouse with Condoms as the top 3 Prizes and here you are crying in your soup over a Railway Station. Shit a brick mate, we have a Railway Station up here also, once, back BEFORE the governments PRIVATISED the Railways, we used to get a passenger train through here 6 times per, 3 to the East, 3 to the West and it would pick up passengers going either way ( i.e. to Sydney or to Adelaide or further west). Now it's only TWICE per week, once from the East, once from the West and only picks up those who have enough of the "readies" and can afford the tickets. Out here WE are 1,100 Kilometres from Sydney by rail, 512 Kilometres from Adelaide, NO regular or reliable interstate/intrastate Bus Service except to Mildura, only 1 available airline service running a cramped SAAB Turbo-prop with tickets costing easily an arm and a leg to purchase. Stone the Crows, Geoffrey51, I reckon you don't know how bloody lucky you really are..

How can any scientific, rational, empirical evidence EVER be produced for something that is purely imaginary in the first place? As an Ancient Greek Philosopher, cannot quite recall off-hand his name atm, once posited; "To create/invent any/all Deities one must first ensure that the following are adhered to, 1) "said Deity/Deities MUST be Invisible," 2) "said Deities/Deity MUST be completely Undetectable," 3) "said Deities/Deity MUST be endowed with both ALL elements, both Good and Evil, in humans," 4) "said Deities/Deity MUST be UTTERLY Unapproachable at ALL times," and the list goes on and on almost endlessly. There is a far greater chance of proving that Unicorns, for example, exist than there is of proving ANY God/Goddess has ever existed/or exists.

@bbyrd009 Well, after many years of studying to gain my Doctorate I can most honestly say that the 'bible' is very little more than a compendium of 'pirated' mythologies, legends and fairytales plagiarised from far older cultures than the primitive, savage, nomadic Hebrews who wrote (???) the Torah which makes up the first 5 books of the Christian 'Holy(???)' Book, aka, the Pentateuch. there is absolutely NOTHING contained in the 'bible' that cannot be easily traced back to a far older culture/civilisation that existed both during the time of the Hebrews and well before they managed to coalesce from their original 13+ waring tribes of nomads into the belligerent, war-mongering peoples they are today.

Should prostitution be illegal?
Onesixty8 comments on Dec 30, 2017:
It falls under regulating & controlling a woman's body. It wasn't illegal until the advent of Christanity.
Triphid replies on Mar 30, 2018:
Hi, as one who has a Doctorate in Theology ( also is a Life-Long Atheist btw) I can tell you that the Catholic Church, the root source of ALL modern Xtian Sects, did attempt to make Prostitution Illegal in the 8th and 9th Centuries C.E. however it was only done because the 'so-called' common Whores and Bordellos were operating in opposition to those Owned, Operated and frequented by the Church Hierarchy right up the line to including the Popes and were eroding the Profits the Catholic Church was gaining from its 'little' SLY Enterprises. Even to this day there are still Bordellos Owned and operated by Catholic Cardinals, etc, and frequented by ALL members of the Catholic Hierarchy especially in Rome and Italy. As a point of note here, The R.C.C. still holds to the ideology that NO Prostitute can receive Absolution, the Sacrament nor be buried in 'Holy' Ground even if she/he is employed in a Bordello/Brothel owned by the Church. Another PRIME example of Religious Hypocrisy indeed.

To my way of thinking, whether she be dressed up to the Nines or simply in jeans and sneakers a woman deserves to be shown respect and treated with respect UNLESS or UNTIL she has shown herself to be completely UNWORTHY of such. As an example I cite a recent encounter I personally had, I was walking home from a nearby supermarket after getting a few things I needed when I saw a woman ( in her late 60s - early 70s) at the side of the road with a flat tyre on her car. I went over asked if I could help her change the tyre, she said to me "Oh, thank you Sir, what a very kind offer, you must be a very true and decent Christian Gentleman. I simply responded with the truth, "No, Ma'am, I'm an Atheist and was brought up to be a Gentleman who respects others and helps those in need." She became quite verbally abusive towards me then slapped my face, spat at me before telling me she would rather struggle to change the tyre herself than accept help from a Godless Heathen. That 'episode' has not changed my attitude towards being 'chivalrous' in any way BUT it has shown me that in some aspects Religion, Xtianity in particular, may have eroded decency in society to some extent.

Do you respect your mother, the person without whom you would never have existed or do you just shun and disrespect the 40 weeks that she carried you in her uterus, fedd and nurtured you for all those years of your childhood, etc? Yes, there are some 'women' who do NOT deserve respect, reverence, etc, my 'mother' being a prime example, BUT never judge ALL by the examples of the one.

Yes, I meant that the Victims were finally getting justice, of sorts, BUT nowhere near the justice they richly deserve. Pope ( Protector of Paedophile Employees) Wankey Frankie and every other of his predecessors has been guilty of 'hiding' this criminality away for countless decades/centuries, condoning these criminal activities by both inaction even with knowledge of them and by 'fostering' them by simply 'shifting' the Predators around from Parish to Parish once they've been reported or simply forcing the victims/families to stay silent, etc. Silence may be the Church's favourite weapon BUT it no longer is effective and the axe of Justice is now poised to fall on the Catholic Church and numerous other Churches as well.

I've been on their 'blacklists' for years as well as the Mormons 'No Go Lists'. The Mormons, however, up-date their lists regularly BUT somehow I managed to slip off the list until a few weeks ago when 2 of their 'missionaries' called and asked for a drink of de-caff tea. Knowing full well that they have a Strict Law against consuming any containing caffeine/products and feeling in very sarcastic mood I acceded to their request by making them my 'speciality' de-caff' tea with a nice little touch of instant coffee added, I call it tea-caff. They drank it quite heartily, thanked me, tried to preach, which failed miserably of course, and then left abruptly.

So atheist or agnostic men don't shave, huh?
Paul628 comments on Jan 3, 2018:
I'm guessing you got that idea from some of our profile pictures. I just shaved yesterday, but I don't do it often because it hurts my delicate face. ;)
Triphid replies on Jan 29, 2018:
I always shave using ordinary soap and disposable razors, can't use electric ones because my whiskers just chew them up.

Triphid comments on Jan 17, 2018:
Yes, I'm an 'amateur Artist here in Broken Hill, NSW, Australia, very little actual 'Art Training,' except for in High School, I use acrylic paints, old house paints or whatever I can get that is available fairly cheaply. I also carve Emu Eggs when I can legally get them. I've attached a couple ...

That's the meaning of 'scapegoat' isn't it? Usually the devil gets all the blame!
Triphid replies on Jan 17, 2018:
An actual Historical Fact is that the Hebrews 'invented' the idea of a 'Scapegoat' as a part of their Yom Kippur Ritual, i.e. a goat was selected for the Yom Kippur Ritual and then the Temple Priests would place all the Ills and Evils, etc, of the people upon the goat which would then be, supposedly as the people were told btw, lead away out into the desert and set free. However the Truth is, and has been proven from ancient Temple Documents, that the goat, believed to be the 'escape goat' was taken to a distant high cliff and then thrown alive off of the top of that cliff.

Tithing, Taxes... is there a difference?
KKGator comments on Jan 3, 2018:
I don't see any correlation between the two. Adherence to a religion, and tithing, is completely voluntary. Refusing to do so is not criminal. Refusing to pay one's taxes can result in imprisonment.
Triphid replies on Jan 7, 2018:
Actually amongst most Xtian type religions Tithing is a requirement, often it is disguised as being the Sending Around of a Collection plate though.

Triphid replies on Jan 3, 2018:
Yes, I concur, there has always been a War, a War which the Religious started some 1,600 + years ago and the only force used in it has come, not from the Atheists/Pagans/Heathens, etc, in the first place BUT from those who loudly proclaim themselves to be Peace Loving Children of God.

ALL gods/goddesses since the first time humans invented them ALL share blaring similarities to the natures of those who create them. For example, "God is quick to anger," so, exactly are humans. "God forgives, "so do humans, "God abhors things that are not as he/she/it deems are correct in his/her/its eyes," Human attitude to a "T" I could go on more but I'm certain most will get my drift.
Is panthiesm considered a religon,or would it be more a way of life?
Triphid comments on Dec 17, 2017:
Theism is Religion/religious belief since the word literally means a belief in a God/Gods, ergo Pantheism is simply a belief in many Gods/Goddesses as per the Romans, Egyptians, Greeks, etc, etc.
Triphid replies on Dec 19, 2017:
@TommyMeador Ergo Pan = All or everything simply means ALL /every God/Gods/Goddesses, hence there is No real difference, is there.

Triphid replies on Dec 14, 2017:
You're not telling ANYTHING new there, evidentialist, since I have one those "Born Again, Evangelists" for a next door neighbour for almost 5 years now and I heard just about every single Sermon, every cry of persecution and every erroneous claim of an Atheists War Against Christianity that must surely be. It's kind of like listening to an old vinyl record with a scratch in it, the needle just jumps back a step and repeats over and over again. Once his tirade has settled I usually just mention casually about the Millions of Innocent lives that Christianity alone has taken with THEIR War against those who don't believe as they do, etc, etc, and to top it all off I just drop in, for good measure of course, the Millions that are written in the bible that were Slaughtered either by god or at the behest of god. That usually shuts him down for a few weeks/a month at least.
Wow.

10 fallacies about atheists - have I missed any?
GothRik comments on Nov 13, 2017:
Excellent, the only one I can think of, that could be added is 'A lot of bad people in history were atheists (Hitler etc)' or that atheists can't have any moral guidelines.
Triphid replies on Dec 12, 2017:
Btw, Gothrik, IF you check the Historical FACTS re-Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Regime you will find that Hitler was a very devout Xtian and also that the Catholic Church signed a pact with the Nazis that remained in place throughout the entire Second World War. The R.C.C. also helped numerous High Nazi Officials escape from Europe and get into Argentina, etc, to avoid capture by the Allies.

You have forgotten two important ones: 12 . Atheists eat babies, 13 . Atheist hold wild sex orgies,
Triphid replies on Dec 12, 2017:
Oh I wish we held regular orgies, that would be great fun, but eating babies, No way because Atheists are NOT practising/pseudo-cannibals. Whereas the Xtian sacrament taking can easily and logically classed as being an act of Pseudo-Cannibalism. I.e. the drink the blood ( pseudo blood of course) and the body ( pseudo flesh of course) of the Idol whom they worship and claim blesses and empowers them after they have eaten it, exactly the same reasoning as to why real cannibals used to devour their captive enemies.

There are a lot of holes in the whole creation story anyways.
Triphid replies on Dec 6, 2017:
As a Theologian and a Life-Long Atheist I can safely state categorically that the bible has more holes in the any Kitchen Colander. Take Genesis for example, Trees and plants are 'created' days before the Sun is, so how do the photosynthesising plants survive and grow WITHOUT sunlight to stimulate photosynthesis in the first place? God says, ( in the plural form btw), "Let US make man in OUR own image." Ergo God is speaking BUT to whom and why is god speaking in plural IF there is, as the 'Faithfool' believe, ONLY ONE ( 1) God and No others exist? Then later in Exodus, God is purported to say to Moses, "I ( note here the SINGULAR) am the Lord, your God." How did God suddenly change from the Plural to the Singular? Was there a wee bit of a "Clash of the Gods" and the rest were exiled leaving the Judaeo-Christian- Islamic God as the 'new' Zeus/Jupiter perhaps? Ask this of any 'Faithfool' and watch the tirades of drivel/threats and curses spew forth in an endless torrent.
