What do you mean. The environment would have benefited. Did you not see the poppies grow after the bloodshed at Flanders & other WWI battles?

Blood & bone sold everywhere.
Now what would help the environment would be transforming all those dead humans into blood & bone and use it to help recover the forests from the deserts.
