Lon Chaney Jr. was frankly one of the most under rated actors of all time, thankfully after "of Mice and Men" for which he won an Oscar, he was recognized for the talented man he really was. Son of Dracula is my favourite of his films

It is a general rule of thumb among religious institutions to assure the various governments of the world that should they be asked nicely they would be completely willing to pay their taxes, and they are quite determined to stick to that pledge of fiscal honesty so long as nobody ever does ask them, in this way the clercal and the secular authorities are both able to remain civil to one another and honour the various international clauses regarding separation of church and state.

@Gareth At one time manners would have prevented anything like this happening in the UK. Today the scenario would play out with the offender saying something like "don't mind if we push in do you?" while shoving the child in front of the smallest person at the head or near the head of the queue, who is usually too shocked to anything other than " what, no" which be taken with a nod of thanks and firmly pushing in of the adult too. Should they actually have enough about them to refuse, or some one further back complain, the offender will go totally self righteous and say either "I wasn't talking to you, kindly mind your own business" or "Kindly don't embarrass me in front of my child," adding then to the little darling "You see Agnes this is what a mean rude person behaves like, you don't want to be like that do you?" or if all else fails will move to the next person forward and say, "Well since this person is being so utterly disagreeable and rude, you don't mind if I go before you?" And will shove in their before an answer can be given, from someone thinking desperately, don't involve me in this. Any further objections will be met with "Do you mind, you're frightening my child!" and a chorus of disapproval from the rest of the ill informed queue.

@redbai Yelling fire in a public place. WHEN THERE IS NO FIRE is a public order offense, It is a lie, leading to panic, the lie is the public order offence. Yelling fire is not the problem, the intent is the problem it has nothing to do with free speech, you cause a panic and people get hurt, you are prosecuted for causing panic. Hitler to use the classic example, shouting that some groups of people, gays, gypsies, Jews, freemasons, Jehovah's witness and others were destroying the country was the same thing. Using a LIE to cause panic and on an unheard of scale public disorder. Free speech is not the freedom to lie. You can prosecute a liar for using words as a weapon to cause panic, hate etc. You do not need new laws, when you have laws already, you need to use the law that exists. There is as I said no such thing as hate speech, there ARE such things as lies that encourage hate and disorder. When you make a law against something that does not exist, you only make lawyers rich fighting law drawn out and ultimately fatuous cases in court. When you prosecute someone for a crime that does exist, it can be proven (assuming the system to be honest) quickly without the need to prove the offence existed in the first place. Hate speech is so open to abuse, because it is a licence to lie and to lie about lying, it is a law designed to spread contention and silence voices crying for justice, and is a law that will kill free speech while claiming to protect it. It basically is a politicians wet dream.

@redbai Promoting the idea that there is such a thing as an inherent superiority of one person over another is a LIE Promoting the idea that there is such a thing as inherent dominance of one person over another is a LIE Prejudice is a LIE There is only one race the human race There is no superior sex there is only gender There is nothing unnatural in love and attraction between any two people claiming otherwise is a LIE. Everything people use as an excuse for hate that is not based upon the negative voluntary individual actions of one person to another is a LIE. I am not not saying there is NO hate, obviously there is and I am not saying people have not been victims of hate, they have (and you are very presumptuous to assume I have never been a victim of hate, you don't know me.) I am saying all hate comes from LIES I am saying that blaming Hate on speech, rather than on how people choose to react to that speech is a counterproductive reaction. It makes a perceived victim of the hate monger, it rallies those who are angered at the suppression of the liar to rally to the causes of hate who would other wise have been against it. You counter lies with truth Call a liar a liar, accuse that person of their crime, don't make up another one to muddy further the waters of truth. Call out the vile for being vile Expose vile lies and mock the liar Discredit the lie, don't hide it, for nothing grows better in the dark that disease and above all don't let hatred of the lie, make you a hateful person or else the liar has won.

I've known other people capable of doing this before and since, as a trained actor I can do it myself, but have never used it off stage and never would lie like that to another person. My point was simply yes I am empathic to another person's distress and will assist any way I can, but given good reason to believe it is not genuine, I will ignore it, I do not like emotional games from anyone as it does a disservice to them and to people's feelings generally.

However this argument relies on the idea that murdering Isaac was not God's idea in the first place and it was Isaac, Abraham, Satan, or someone in a bush shouting in to a jar who gave the initial instruction n order to test God. Even given that this is the case it was a still bloody stupid idea. Also it is quite clear in the Bible that God did not stop Abraham, it was an angel (some say Michael) who did it, so if this was the case God failed. I have heard so may apologist try and make sense of this story and laud Abraham for his faith over it. The Islam version is the worst, because in that version Abrham does it twice, once with Isaac, once with Ishmael, which is doubly insane.

It is not meant to indicate any specific individual, rather emotional type or types. As to your specific inquiry the persons in question are being referred to in terms of their emotion maturity rather than biological age, and their motivation for genuine or faux emotional reaction. In this context, it is perfectly possible for anyone, of any gender to behave with the the emotional maturity of a person of any age for nefarious reasons of their own especially for the emotional manipulation of the the gullible.

LenHazell53 replies on Jun 1, 2018:
***The Theological explanation*** There really isn't one even by their religious definitions. Since Spencer W Kimball what the prophet is and does has been endlessly redefined, things said by a previous prophet can now be over ruled by a later prophet, nothing any prophet says is prophesy or revelation unless another later prophet says it is or was and even then this can be rescinded by a later prophet still (and bare in mind all apostles hold the title of prophet, but only the church president hold the title of THE Prophet). "Thus sayest the Lord" comes from the days of the early church and the Journal of Discourses, it is not held to now ( or wasn't when I left the church in the 1990s). They also now use the terms "Doctrine" and "policy" interchangeably, until someone challenges it at which point the teaching in question becomes policy definitely not Doctrine or in extreme cases "well meaning speculation" by a church authority. ***The reality*** Ultimately there is only one reason for the prophet to exist today and that is to act as the chief executive for the two "corporation sole" legal entities known as: Corporation of the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints between which are owned All of the business interests of the the LDS church including their $32billion of stocks and shares, media empire, property empire (Which until the 1920s included a string of brothels) and retail empire. By law a member of the organisation identified by title has to be the sole titular owner of of the corporation, in the case of the LDS this is the President and Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or the longest serving apostle (which is why despite claims of a calling from god, it is ALWAYS the longest serving apostle who becomes the next prophet.) In short the prophet is a euphemism for the chairman of the board of directors.

@Rossy92 The generally agreed order agreed on by historians is that Mark was the first gospel, written by a Jewish follower of Paul, dating from about 60 to 70 AD, it is aimed largely as new converts and is a primer on the life of Christ, the final chapters referring to the resurrection, were not present in the earlies texts we have and were seemingly added somewhere around the 6th century perhaps much later. Matthew and Luke come from about the same period of time, between 75 and 100 AD, they both quote verbatim from Mark and from one other source, commonly referred to as the Q document. Matthew as I said was a gospel for the Hebrews, Luke however is a gospel for the Romans, stated as being such and by the same author as the Acts, Luke it is summarized was a doctor, a Roman or Roman Citizen and was likely a disciple of Paul. John's Gospel is much later, quotes from neither Q or Mark, but does seem to have been aware of Matthew and Luke as well as some of the apocryphal gospels. It is a gospel for the Greek Intelligentsia, contains multiple mentions of Platonic philosophy and is also Stoicism influenced. It is assumed it came from a man using the name John living on the Island of Patmos about 120 to 175 AD. However it has been discovered recently that it is in fact likely an edited down and sanitised version of an earlier document known as the Levitikon (not to be confused with the book of the same name published in the 19th century) a scripture of the rival sect who followed the Messiahship of John the Baptist and regarded Jesus as a usurper that in some parts of the middle east clings on as the gnostic sect known as the Mandaeins.

@Josephine I presumed your advocating mass inoculation of the populous in 1918, including all subsequent generations? 50 million people died in the pandemic and so never reproduced. Let us assume inoculation spares 30 million, all of who go on to reproduce now immunised children between 1918 and 1936, this is a population increase of 60 to 70 million by the time we reach the beginning of world war 2, with no increase in food production technology or other medical breakthroughs. The spanish flu does not go away, as always it mutates, 18 years is plenty of time for a new strain to appear, world war two allows the spread and even weaponization of the new strain to go global as it did in WW1. This of course preempts the 1957 pandemic by 20 years and so antiviral drugs are not yet available, requiring containment of what is basically a plague. Given the mass overpopulation problem this may lead to culling of the infected, especially in an era of racial and physical purity doctrines all over europe, blame would almost certainly have attached to certain ethnic groups as the carriers of the plague leading to ethic cleansing. The development of nuclear weapons at this time, or at least radiation dirty bombs may have been seen as a way to end the plague leading to mutations, nuclear devastation of large areas and the destruction of the ecosystem. Vaccines save lives, lives reproduce, reproduction causes people, people cause more people and hence overpopulation, over population upsets the natural balance and causes mutations. So all I am saying is messing with the time line is a really bad idea.
