Lots of hostas here in Wisconsin. Will have my cook parlay this into her next batch of something. Appealing to everyone to cook every garlic mustard they find prior to seeding. This is a nutritious green similar to spinach but murderous to our diminishing native woodland flowers & their habitat. Biennial & a nazi plant.

I cut my hair short, boyishly short (per cutiebeauty), & am always relieved when the attention ceased. Short hair permitted me to hold down a job without gratuitous male attention. The USPS is controlled by Congress. That in itself should make things impossible. The USPS IS SOLVENT. Congress requires the USPS to pre-fund its health insurance programs for employees which no other department is required to do. The USPS is an easy mark as many folks berate it at every turn. It is Constitutionally mandated & is one of our great institutions that functions far better than other pseudo government entities. People will remember the one mess up, when billions of mail make their destination in spite of poor managerial qualifications. Carriers have a very difficult job requiring stamina, tolerance & strength. Dog bites are not a joke. Brutal weather conditions, from heat waves to sub zero hours on the street. Many who can not endure the physical strain become low level managers in order to escape the challenges the job requires. This is not attained by merit. It is attained by the local Postmasters discretion. It is a great job if one can survive to collect the benefits entirely deserved by those who do the work.

It does not mean "a man who suppresses women". Years ago the misuse of "prejudice" irked me. It means to" judge prior to evidence". It does not mean "one who dislikes black folks". Now African American is used incorrectly. One can not tell if one is American by looking at them. Not all folks of African descent are American. I also am irritated when "white " is used to describe Euros but "yellow" is not used to describe Asians. But then I am an irritated person so social isolation is my natural tendency. " Illegal alien" does not mean Hispanic or Mexican. Now the words "lavender" "peony" or "violet" almost sound lyrical. "Lyrical". That is pleasant also. I too HATE the word "panties". It is "underwear" because one wears it under.

So sorry. I lost my spouse in September. For me it comes in waves. Waves of unbearable pain. Then the chemistry in my brain resets. I am ok for awhile. Then the wave returns. The tears will become less over time., as your brain processes the void, the absence and heals. Make a gesture in homage to your loved one. A donation, volunteer somewhere, in his name. Just roll with it & let the pain work its way thru your life. It is a fire you must walk thru. There is a place on the other side. The tears will be less tho the pain the same. A counselor if you find it necessary. There are online sites that can help. I used them to reevaluate my view of death. There is help. Even in Idaho. Heal soon.
