There was one guy in highschool who was hell bent on fighting me. He was bigger than me and definitely meaner. I finally decided to just go out and get my ass kicked, and get it over with. He was giving me a pretty good beat down. It was weird because I really wasn't feeling anything. I noticed he was starting to suck air pretty hard. He was a smoker and I ran cross country. At that time the Vice Principal came and broke it up. To this day I think he was getting tired of punching me, and I could of had a chance. People laughed when I said that. No, I wasn't traumatized. I used to run long distances. I ran a lot. Maybe too much. I could eat whatever I wanted and stay fit. Eventually bursitis stopped the running. I got fat. Then I discovered ellipticals. It was like running but no impact and I can do it. I push it hard for 30 minutes four times a week. I've been doing it consistently for eight months. Weight lost, a grand total of eight pounds. I guess I'm older now and it isn't running... . I remember arguing with this guy I know who is a trainer. He kept saying if you want to lose weight you have to change your diet. I guess he is right. However, not sure I'm going to do that. I feel better exercising, get a good endorphins rush, and pretty sure the exercise makes me healthier.

Good read and made some good points. It does seem to ignore that both parties are complicit in the increasing wage gap between the rich and the rest of us poor slobs. It also over sterotyped certain communities. I am all for a real populous movement. However, that movement needs to include all people. Socially things have been getting better in this country, with the religious right fighting it all the way. Well Trump and both houses being in control of the GOP probably will momentarily set it back. However, social issues are progressing. Fiscal issues are going backwards. Get money out of politics for both parties. Money "Trumps" ideology for the majority of politicians Also I believe there is some elitism with Democratic Party. I remember with the Clinton Vs Paula Jones fiasco, James Carville made a comment, "That's what happens when you drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park.". Oh his fellow corporate Democrats thought that was so funny. The author writes well and makes some great points, but seems to fail to realize it is only a piece of the puzzle.
