Apparently there’s a fruit that is naturally radioactive.
I think that’s bananas.
So are Brazil nuts
I didn’t know about the Brazil nuts actually. Wasn’t able to figure out which food item was the most “radioactive “.
@Zealandia There are many food stuff with low radioactivity, but Brazil nuts and Bananas are slightly higher than most, 25 large bananas have about the same negligible level of radioactivity effect on a human as wearing a wrist watch with a radium painted dial for a couple of days to a week.
@LenHazell53 Can’t be many watches left with radium painted dials. I remember having one as a kid.
That is actually true. Bananas are radioactive.
I cannot remember how many cases, or was it tons ,that one needs to consume in order to have an effect on the body.
One would suffer technicolour yawns from excess consumption long before any issue of radiation came into play
Trust a banana bender to know that - even an immigrant.
Apparently you have to eat 100 bananas to receive the same amount of radiation exposure as you get each day in the United States from natural radiation in the environment.
Obviously more if you’re living near Chernobyl…
Ach...you're full of beans....oh wait......
