Where I live would be great if people in the apartment building next door didn't think that my yard was their yard. It works out that I'm only 50 feet away from them and they cannot stay inside their apartments. They seem to be outside talking and partying all the time. Sometimes I hear them at 3 AM. Good point. I worry about myself sometimes and I've gotten to where I leave myself notes. A friend my age is a good car mechanic and I found out he takes pictures of stuff in order to remember where it went.

My only real experience with Muslims was in Africa in 2004. Otherwise I have spoken to Muslim women in a fast food place. I am friendly with a Minnonite woman in a deli and bakery I go to. Once the subject came up about evil in the world and 2 customers discussed it. They left and I asked the Minnonite clerk about it. She starts out "well, you see the devil . . . . . . " But I don't see the devil. I really don't. The devil I see is in the image of men.

This morning I caught some high lights of this crap on TV. Bret is telling a supposedly moving thing as his girls are saying their prayers. Wait! What is this shit? As a former Evangelical who was in church 3 times a week I do not remember this nonsense. We prayed enough in church. Someone might mention at bedtime to "say your prayers" but that was about it. The entire essence here was "don't let the boogyman get me." Now with great soap opera type drama we are supposed to believe this man is so religious and the use of children praying is making that clear to us. I wanna puke! I simply do not know anyone who believes like this and if you think on it you probably do not either. That makes this whole charade nothing but story time. Do you think these Congressmen and Senators do this in their families? I don't.

I thought some of us need to inject some humor into this cesspool.

I'm sorry for your loss but this is not your fault. What is, simply - is. Your brother is angry. In time he will understand. My sister died at home in her own bathroom of a heart attack. Everyone blamed her stepson for not reacting in a different way. I saw him privately to explain it was not his fault, and he cried. I hugged him.

I respect this and hope they do wait. The big reason they do not want to wait is that the mid terms may cast a different light on Kavanaugh if Dems balance out everything. There is haste to get him in there right now. This is very compelling. I've read nothing of her works and I think her autobiography has been made into a movie. Looked it up as I am writing. Made in 1979 and Maya did the story and screenwriting. Diahann Caroll. Ester Rolle, and Ruby Dee were in the film. I think I will have to watch it.

I understand. I'm at constant odds with a friend of 40 plus years who thinks I simply believe anything I read and he cannot understand why I hate Trump. He doesn't understand "fact checking" because anybody can say anything but my Trump hate must be on the same level as Whoopi Goldberg. She has her's coming, we are all ignorant, and Trump has the FBI and the CIA working right now on the arrests and imprisonment of the Clintons and the Obamas. It's coming, I will see it, and he will be around to tell me **"I told you so**" when it happens. If you are losing this kind of friend I wouldn't worry about it much. I'm posting this because everybody has at least one moron friend. My problem is that I keep meeting others who think like this. Help!

I agree that it is about frigging time. A point to consider in American politics is that as long as women's clinics are known as "abortion clinics" a noticeable change will not be seen. These clinics take up on sex education where the parent and school left off and maybe never trod. They give young girls birth control meds and this has to be wrong coz the church said so. God wanted us to "be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth." A simple condom can prevent HIV but the church says not to use it. I have a Republican friend who tells me how many abortions some of "these women have had" when such info is not public information. Think. Do the math. Are pills cheaper than abortions? It must be hard for some of these men to even be married. Then we have the Evangelical who knows god is on his side when he killed "an abortion doctor." Nothing will change here until we get "god" out of American politics. That might be a long time away from now.

Good job. When I was younger I had a little abuse myself. Today he is a senile old man in a nursing home and I am in charge of his insurance money that he will be buried with. One of my daughters is his POA as per my instructions. Getting him in this position was like pulling hen's teeth.
