I have a queen bed, about half is covered with pillows, extra blankets, space for kitty. When I was married we had a King size bed, the center 3rd was no persons land for many years. I haven't slept with anyone besides a kitty in years.

My daughter "strongly suggested" that my potential dates be closer to my age than to her older sister's age. I was 27 when the oldest was born, so they should not be more than 14 years younger than I am. And the opposite side they just need to be reasonably healthy and in sound mind.

My older cat comes up on my lap whenever my laptop plays something, like she wants to see it too. The rest of the time she prefers my desk chair. I'm no the sofa with my feet up. She's weird. The other cat mostly ignores us or lays down on the floor in the exact spot I will put my feet down in. They're weird and they're mine!

That is so beautiful!! I've always told my kids I'd love them no matter who or what they loved. They are who they are, and they're mine. I was the same way about IF they got pregnant as a teen or while unmarried. I'd be there to help. Luckily we never had that experience. What they do or who they love won't change my love for them.

I used to have many, many, many. Then I started moving to apartments, and apartments didn't have good natural light. Then I move to house that doesn't have good natural light. And then I got KITTENS! Now I have maybe 7. Mostly where cats can't get them and also where I forget to water regularly.

I feel your pain. We are so isolated even in groups. How often in a group do you see folks with their phones out. My daughter got on my case when I pulled my phone out while visiting my sister. I just was going a quick google of something. But she had a valid point. It wasn't necessary at that moment. As a society we have too much constant activity. No one spends time alone with their thoughts, it is constant bombardment of noise and visuals. We need to unplug and unwind before we self destruct.

I have never seen any of my cats pooping. The litter box has always been out of the way, and they've never used the box when I was near. OK, my current youngest cat will pee in front of me and right after I've cleaned the litter boxes.
