@Charity I've had it for 10 years and have learned just about all the tricks to keep it from getting bad. I stockpile my pain meds so I've always got plenty, I keep at least 4 liters of black cherry juice in the pantry, I have a wedge pillow to prop up my feet, I keep a cane and a walker ready, just in case, so I am prepared when it hits. I hope everyone at your place gets well, it sucks to be sick.

@Charity Spring teased and I put some plants out a little too early, drug them all back to the hot tub enclosure, I remember what officiating was like and my condolences. I did football and softball. I got up to the Jr college level before moving to Dallas. I've been stuggling with gout, so heavy duty pain meds with extra gout meds and tons of water, so I'm up every half hour to get rid of the water. Monday I'm taking off for the gulf coast (Biloxi) and Fl (St Augustine) so I'll be semi out of touch for a week or so.

In Yellowstone it can be up to $2000 fine and loss of the equipment+ reparations for any damage done. I've seen some state parks start to follow suit. Most "parks and wildlife" departments have wide latitude in establishing rules and regulations, so I would check with local rangers.

@Zoohome I normally attack all the possible problems I suspect at once, I would add a little miracle grow to the soil and spray with a fungicide. As long as you follow label directions on both, there shouldn't be any complications. Take a soil sample when you go to the nursery, a lot of them have on site analysis.

I'm a firm believer in the inflatable mattresses now, not really backpack friendly, but then neither am I. For a backpack, the slow recovery solid foam or hammock are my choices.

To compare the access we have now to the access we had then is an exercise in futility. To just find new music, you had to go to a record store. Another idea is thornless blackberries, they are a bieneial crop, that is the berries grow on last years growth. Lots of pruning to remove this years fruit bearing stems. First year plant them about 6 feet apart, the new plants will fill in between them.

@Count I would check out the local nurseries, they normally have a good selection and the plants are well developed, locally acclimated and you can see what you are getting. Drip irrigation will provide good supply of water. some mail order companies are good, but I shy away from any that promise way better results than anyone else. Your root stock is a long term investment, it will be with you 20-30 years under the right conditions, so select carefully .
