@Unclehotrod Trump did not spend the $2 billion allocated for last year, so it is not a priority and if the money is there for a wall, it costs a lot less to actually maintain a decent immigration system. I have been in foreign countries that issue an arrest warrant the day after your visa expires. No such system here, with all the computer systems, it would be a few $100 million to have an adequate system to alert local law enforcement to go out and pick up the over stayers.

The other was their susceptibility to blackmail, but the only thing to really blackmail them on was an artificial constrict which the government had placed on them, take away the constrict and they were no more susceptible than any other person. i knew several that had TS clearances, and the biggest threat they faced was official exposure, because everyone they worked with either already knew or didn't care.
