@Lauren Most burglaries happen in the daytime, even though i have infrared on the cameras, it will probably just show me the animals that like to visit at night, so I don't go outside to see what the noise is. Since I worked out of my house for years, I used a lot of different tricks to let people know I was home. Have a cup of coffee on the front porch, inspect plants in the front yard, wander outside when I needed a break. For several years I had a roommate that was the best deterent, think zz top meets grizzly Adams. He would be up every morning at 3 am and would sit on the patio smoking until i got up at 9 or 10, so there was almost always someone outside for people to see.

@WilliamFleming Louisiana tried to write legislation to limit pit bulls, they failed to even be able to agree on a definition of what constituted a Pit Bull, it is simply not a breed. What they thought was a good definition included mastiffs, boxers, stafforshire terriers, bull dogs and others. 2 it is the owners, not the dogs. The other thing to consider is that there are only about 20 deaths per year from dogs, you should ban airplanes, firearms and eating all of which have a much greater chance of killing someone than any dog attack.

tRump totally destroyed to Iran nuclear deal.
Trajan61 comments on Jan 5, 2020:
Obama’s deal with Iran was total and complete lunacy. Why would we give 1.7 billion dollars to a country who is the number one sponsor of terror in the world and is very hostile to the US. Trump on the other hand makes a lot of sense.
glennlab replies on Jan 5, 2020:
You know nothing about the money that we returned to them. They had paid in cash for weapons systems that we did not deliver to them, because of the fall of the shah. This was a claim that they had against the US that was ordered by the world court. These funds had been held to settle any claims by US citizens against Iran and once all claims had been paid, the remainder had to be paid back to Iran. Because the US had frozen Iran out of the international banking system, the payment had to be in the world reserve currency, US dollars. They had been held by the US since the Iranian seizure of the US embassy.
So.

@Boxdoc Nice fear mongering, but in the two news articles, neither person was trangender and the third was an opinion piece. However I fail to see how any of this applies in this thread.

That is like trying to define chemistry or physics in one sentence. It WAY over simplifies what it is or covers. just because it is hard to understand doesn't mean that it is meaningless. Because it is a dynamic science, it difficult for even the best economists to agree on all facets.

@SeanMoore Chemistry is the study of the composition of everything and how it interacts with everything else. would be a beginning, but as you can see that is way to vague to be meaningful and will need massive refining to be of any use.

That did it for me too. I talked about this with a Trump Supporter who lives outside of the US. I showed it to them. They blew it off and said he always talks that way when he mocks people. It wasn't directed towards the handicapped reporter. Urgh!!!!! I don't get the logic.
