I never seen one of these, has anyone ever had one? 🤔
glennlab comments on Dec 2, 2019:
I believe we got one in stock at he store and it sat on the shelf for a whole season. It was used as a promo by some of the wholesalers because they couldn't get anyone to order them.

@Sheannutt it just rolled until it hit something, then turned. rolled until it hit something, turned, rolled until it hit something ect.

@MichelleGar1 You're welcome. My son just told me he is ring shopping and that next Thanksgiving is with both sets of parents, He has always been a planner, so I think it is as much an intro plan as a way not to have to do 2 thanksgivings. This is a kid that invented parents day so that he could take both his mother and i out at one time instead of two dinners.

@WonderWartHog99 Not sure, but I knew if I stated an absolute, some ass would point out my error. Better safe than sorry. In Texas it is basicly catch and release, except on election day where they hold you intil the polls close, while the law makes it a misdemeaner, it is very rarely prosecuted and ienforcement in most counties is relegated to constables and JPs.

glennlab replies on Dec 2, 2019:
I don't know the chemistry of the ink on vinyl, but in the past simply getting a latex paint match was all that was needed to modify signs for the short election period without it being obvious. Normally you did this for prior campaign signs that only needed minor changes.

glennlab replies on Dec 1, 2019:
@noseenobelieve I would suggest you take your christian ideas back to your church where they might believe them. just suggesting to read an author without a link or even a correct spelling of his name is not scientific and shows the depth of your knowledge of facts versus opinion.

@TheGreatShadow That is the correct roman numeral versus the accepted use. In old lead type and wooden type, every letter had to be hand placed, so it is an abreviation for 1000 x 1000 since no roman numeral represented 1 million. The AP style book insured that every newspaper and magazine used the standard definitions.

The second section that was close to being fact checked was Sports. You are expected to be a knowledgeable consumer by them putting labels on the sections.

glennlab comments on Nov 22, 2019:
What variety did you plant, and how hot did it get?
glennlab replies on Nov 23, 2019:
@Budgie I started doing some reseach, there are special hybrids that are specifically for the tropic/subtopical areas, also You need a 15-20 gallon container (60-80 L) a little larger than we need here. With tomatoes started from seed, plant them as neart the bottom of the pot as you can, back fill with soil/mix as they grow, that will give you a much more robust root system.
For a group that prides itself on science. This one's for you.

What an I missing on organics. Isn't less pesticides better than more?
glennlab replies on Nov 23, 2019:
didn't say anything about pesticides, "organic", Deathcap mushrooms are 100% organic and natural, but one bite will likely cause death. Organic has no meaning except higher price, not less/no pesticde, not no chemical fertilizer, not even sustainably grown. Little to no regulation as to what can be called organic in most of the country.
Welcome to the holidays 🤣🤣🤣

First off science does not know all or cure all!!! Doctors and registered dietitians do not know or cure it all! Doctors and other medical individuals have caused death by using methods that are tested and untested!!! Life is experimental, hence you do everything at your own risk!!!
glennlab replies on Nov 23, 2019:
didn't say any of those things, but i do agree with your statements.

I would go with a more scholarly definition, it is the weak force of attaction between two objects. and your reference describes it as one of the 4 forces of nature https://www.britannica.com/science/gravity-physics

Agree with all but the first part. So should we all go to artificially produced food?
glennlab replies on Nov 23, 2019:
@JackPedigo It is a difficult question to answer, is it better to eat hydroponicly grown food where we know no pesticides were used or from an organic farm where the farmer next door uses glyphosate regularly and no one knows. The statement was organic is bullshit, because depending on the state you live in it can mean anything from no artifical means of production at all on this plot of land for several years to we didn't spay too many pesticides on it this year. I am a very stong advocate of limiting all pesticide applications to the minimum amount needed. I don't have any answers, it is a far more complex problem than my pay grade.
My feelings.
JackPedigo comments on Nov 23, 2019:

glennlab replies on Nov 23, 2019:
No, organic is a total misnomer, it is used for many things that are not chemcal free or raised in a sustainable way. I try to use the example that deathcap mushrooms are 100% organic and natural, but 1 bite will most likely kill you. Organic is taken to mean so many different things to so many different people that it has no true meaning any longer.

@JackPedigo I give gifts when I feel like it. Holidays to me are a time to share with friends and family, not gifting. People are more likely to get a gift from me because i saw something that I thought they might like than for a birthday or xmas.

Cherry tomatoes need about 8-10 gallons of soil in a bucket, most people put them in too small a container. It needs to be under 27C at night for fruit to set, You can use blossom set if you are getting good blooms, then shake the plant.
